More comfortable and higher quality sound than any gaming headset that's for sure. Just don't expect booming muddy bass if that's what you're used to. These have controlled sharp bass which is what you want for both music and gaming.
None in stock anywhere near me which is probably a good thing for my wallet.
are these better than 558's?

Length of cord seems an issue.

Sorry but the Cloud headset is actually different the run-of-mill gaming headset as it is actually based on a studio headphone. With the said the HD579 at this price would be better than it, but it is not going to be day and night kind of difference like comparing to some sub-par gaming headset in general.

Build quality wise the HD579 is plastic so it's "cheaper" comparing to the Clouds aluminum construct...but that just how Sennheiser headphones are...even my expensive HD700 has a plastic band and housing.

That was because they were already massively reduced. These we're £150+ when released.aybe it's the colour that's made them a poor seller, but at this price it's a massive reduction.
brought these back, the are great and comfy if you dont mind undetachable cord and soundleak both ways, feels like wearing speakers.but as i said sound quality is superb for the price.

The cord is detachable ... you merely twist it to unlatch it then pull it out. I have a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable in mine now.

Lol,i was afraid to break them, anyway sound leak was worse than i expected. My comment was little misleading thanks
Too much treble that some vocals and a lot of snare drums will give you a headache. I returned these when Argos had them on sale before, they can't shift them hence the price.
I returned mine to Amazon when they were £60 something. Lifeless, lack detail and no storage case. If you are after a decent pair of IEMs I highly recommend getting the KZ ZS6 from Gearbest for around £22 and the upgrade cable for £4. They are terrible out of the box but after 50hrs of burn in they are very very good. I think I prefer them now to my Ultimate Ears Triple fi 10s I paid £230 for. Incredible detail and powerful controlled bass. My hifi is mostly Naim with PMC speakers so I have a high quality reference point.
I have these headphones. I've been looking for headphones to use at home for a long time. But they needed to cater to various things.

1) Comfort (I'm sick of headphones hurting & pinching my ears)

2) Price (Because I'm not paying £500 for a pair of headphones, lol)

3) Open Backs (Because when using noise cancelling headphones. I can't hear my own voice when talking during online gaming, which is weird. Making me talk louder & louder, thus giving me a headache)

4) Long Cord (I watch a lot of films & want to sit across the room)

5) Quality Sound (Sennheisers give you what you pay. Unlike other makes)

At this price, they tick every box. Do not buy if your a Bass Junkie. That's where they fall short.

The other night I fell asleep with these on my head watching a movie. Thats how comfortable they are.

Apologies for the life story

I bought these on Amazon about 2 years ago for the same price. The Sound quality is superb and a bargain at that price.

Can you recommend me a good 3.5 mm cable, Thank you.
Sennheiser are a quality product with a quality sound. Connect them to a quality source and you'll be rewarded!!
People need to understand any headphone can only produce what's fed into them. Cheap headphones compensate for a poor quality source with exaggerated treble or bass. Connect to a true high quality source and you'll see what I mean and the Sennheiser will sing

I bought mine from this ebay seller albeit a pound cheaper at the time. There are a number of different lengths though to suit your requirements. ebay.co.uk/itm…649
