bargain if you ask me!

These are pricey but having had a pair for about 3 years now, they come highly recommended. They're damn good if you want some high quality sounds.

Their open backed head phones so not great if you want to block out ambient noise or you work with other people as they'll hear some of what you hear but for rich audio especially when hooked up to a good amp for movies or some 360 you can't fault them.

Have had mine for 4 years and they are awsome, they let the sound out and everyone can hear what you are listining to but they are so so comfortable and they sound amazing

Hot for me, if I was going to buy again

one day only deal , bargain !!!!!!!!!!!!!! be quick

Ordered and heat added:thumbsup: now have a pair for upstairs:p

Was looking for a paid of HD600s but at this price i'd be crazy to pass it up. Thanks, Heat added

For people who have these, how long is the cable for them?

I would say about 10 foot, its quite long.

I bought an extender but didnt need it to watch movies in bed from my PC.

Cheers, I want to get some to watch tv or play on xbox without waking my daughter!

Was going to buy some at uni, but seeing as I'm living on my own now, it doesn't matter how loud I am! Wish I could have got some at this price a while ago though.

I am looking at this now, but from what I understand there are two versions of this headphones 50 Ohm and 120 Ohm. I understand the 50's are better.

How can you know the version of this deal?

Best,
Cris

early models were 120 ohm, have since been replaced with the 50 ohm model , the 120 ohm model would need an amp but the 50 ohm model will not.

Thanks for clarifying that, I've got myself a pair. I had spotted them in the morning and was just waiting for the deal to be confirmed. Heat and Rep added.

Great deal.

If you are a gamer it's definately worth getting the Astro Mixamp to use with these.

If you're just using them from an ipod, then I'd say these.
If you have a decent headphone amp then definitely the HD600's.
The 600's will still work with an ipod, but you won't hear them at their best.
They need some driving, so with an ipod they won't go too loud.

nice price, just bought a different pair a few weeks ago

hail hail!

I just ordered a pair via TCB and cancelled my order for the ]HD 600s because I'd like to keep my HD 650s for hi-fi music and use the HD 595s for my mp3 player/ computer. I previously bought HD 201s for this job, but they're not very good or comfortable. I think this new plan is the best of both worlds - well that's what I'm telling my wallet anyway :-D

These are excellent headphones, owned mine for 2 years and bought mine for £85 so this is a great price.

Awesome deal! H+R added! Just what I needed

1 of the best audiophile headphones available under £200. I've got the HD555, planning to get this as well! Heat added...bargain!

How do these compare to Bose quiet comfort headphones ( have been hinting to my wife that Id like those for my birthday!!)

Would appreiate an answere if anyone has compared the two - before the deal ends.

Cheers

Good spot... I've been borrowing my girlfriends headphones for a while.

I've gone via Quidco - not sure what I will get in return !!

How do these compare to the Goldring Noise cancelling ones that I purchased for 49.99 (RRP 149.99)?

Do they have a detachable cable ( i.e. replaceable!!) too?

People dont buy headphones with wires nowadays still do they?

I have these headphones, they are indeed slick!

Well these are open back so vastly different than the Goldring, and very much better if you're happy with everyone around you hearing too

yes they have detachable cables, I think the majority of Sennheisers do actually... very user replaceable (and upgradable)

what would comparisons between these and the goldring be.

I would like the noise cancelling ..But if the sound is far better on these then that would be the decider.

Repped ta

I'm a big fan of sennheiser headphones and have a trusty set of HD565 Ovations that are just starting to crackle after many years of listening, so these will be a great replacement.

If you don't mind (or like the retro look), spend £10 more and you can get a pair of Grado SR60i s, these are also open-backed headphones which perform slightly better in the base department from what I've read.

Don't get me wrong though, they are both very good for the money.

I have had a pair of these for a couple of years.

They sound really nice.

Only problem I have is when I listen to them for extended periods of time, I get used to the sound quality, then get in my car and turn the radio on and it sounds broken!

Great price.

I have the 600s. Used to own the 555s. The 600s are a cult classic these days and many people prefer tham to the replacement 650s. However, you really need a headphone amp for the 600s as they are 300ohms, so if you want to listen to an MP3 palyer I suggest getting a Fiio amp (£15 ebay) and the 600s, you really won't regret it at an extra £30. I fell in love with the 600s and it wasn't long before I was delving into the headphone amp market and spending a small fortune, but, as David Ginola said, you're worth it!!
To be honest I'm tempted to buy another pair of the 600s at this ridiculous price, forget the 595s if you have a bit of extra cash.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 414SL headphones which are quite old now and I need to replace them as I think that there is a wire loose because the right ear keeps cutting out. I mainly use then with my Denon AVR280 A/V amp for movies late evening when people are in bed

I have checked several forums etc. and have read that the Sennheiser hd 595 are great for music but I haven't seen anything about their suitabily for use with a/v amp and movie playback.

Any opinions would be helpful as I would like to order a pair as soon as possible.

i have the goldrings ns1000 aswell , they are different headphones completley and differ in sound , i would say the senns have a more bassy warm sound them , where as the goldrings are very level on all sounds. both are great headphones , i prefer these slightly and at the price of £69.99 i would go for the senns as long as its for use in the house. if taking outside then go gor the goldrings.
