God I'm tempted, £10 audible, £8 via top-up...£72...hmm

Already have the over-ear Momentum 2.0, so wonder if I can justify these. I can't. But want to.
Have the 598 and they incredible for anything for home usage, music, movies, gaming. So comfortable and light, ears never feel hot.

I had HD595 back in 2007-2012, but sold as I didn't get time to use with my Little Dot MK3 valve amp ... regret it every day
These are amazing headphones.
They are literally a steal at this price.

I tried the 598SR and didn't find it to be spacious as others say. I found it to have a flat response (not a bad thing) and somewhat limited in the bottom and top extension compared to my Fidelio X2's. Everything sounds very close to the ear.

I heard people say the 599 is nothing alike the 598s. Have you tried it?

How do you rate the X2's?

How do you rate the X2's?

Comfortable, fun sounding, huge, lint-magnet headphones. Worth the £249 price right now and was an absolute steal at £129 when I bought it. Has a very similar frequency response to the Harman curve except for a valley dip at 6k to 9k based on Philips' internal testing and adjustments.

If you turn the volume up too high there will be a piercing shrill at the high-end so don't do that. Depends on the person too though, some couldn't hear it at all.

They must be the widest soundstage cans I've heard (some say the AKG K701/2 is bigger) and for that they're great for movies and games. It has a lot of bass for an open-back and has very good control over it. Nothing like the amount of bass on the closed-backs mind you, but plenty.

They're my favourite pair so I'd rate them highly. I won't give a score cause I feel like any score given would not be meaningful.

TL;DR If you like a fun sounding headphone for movies, games, and music, and you don't mind cleaning the lint off the pads every now and then, then this is perfect. Keep in mind you're not supposed to use them outdoors!
