I found if I went back to make a second order, the code would fail. I had to change to use a different browser. Maybe I should have cleared my cache or something.

Why no more love for this deal? This is by far and away the best deal I have ever seen on this website for headphones!

Its already being discussed on a different post: hotukdeals.com/dea…414

What a great deal!!! How can I resist this....

I want but I dont have an amp.....

Original Poster

I don't think you need an amp. But of course they would sound better with one. One thing to note is that they don't come with 3.5mm adaptor

Yes you need an amp... they are 150 Ω.
You don't need an expensive amp though........

Which one of those would you say is the best all rounder for all genres of music?

HD700 is good but people should note that it's not especially bassy and can be piercing in the treble.

I wish I could afford these now I have the hd 600 so wonder what the main difference is if anyone can help. Thanks for any help.

I've tried countless times to buy these and paying with paypal keeps displaying an incorrect Delivery address with no way to change it

HD 700 more similar to 800; design ethic and build material. Definitely a step up.

Just checked site - looks like OOS =(

Everyone is different, everyone hears differently. People are saying that HD800 is piercing... and it lacks of bass.
I doesn't lack bass to me. It's just really clean, clear and punchy (controlled).

At the moment I really enjoy H6. They are like mini, closed version of HD800. Crystal clear with nice bass.

Do you need an amp to use these or is it as easy as plug and play?

From the few times I've had the chance to listen to both side by side, I would say a well driven HD600 gives a similarly driven HD700 a decent fight. It's not better, but the HD600s scale really well with high quality source components and I prefer the tonality of the HD600s too, to my ears the HD700 are more akin to the warmer HD650. However last time I listened to them the HD700s were twice the price of the HD600s, here they're cheaper than buying a new pair of HD600s, so it's no longer an issue of "getting 80% of the performance for 50% of the price", now it's getting a 25% boost in performance for cheaper than the HD600s retail for (those numbers being very arbitrary representations of their performance based on what I remember them sounding like side by side). Depending on how much you can sell your HD600s for and the amp you'll be using to drive them, it could be a worthwhile upgrade. I personally don't think it's a HD800-level revelation of audio bliss, but there will probably be an improvement nonetheless.

You really should be using an amp, it's how they're intended to be used. Volume probably isn't an issue out of a computer if you don't mind cranking the volume all the way up, but these headphones really benefit from a well driven source. I would at least spend £100-£120 on a Schiit Magni, Schiit Vali, Objective2 Amp or FiiO E09K if you planned on buying a pair, it will bring out a lot more of their potential.

Fantastic deal, great sound & comfortable fit,

It is one of the most comfortable headphone I have ever tried. Very details, clear and good soundstage. Not far from the almighty HD800 yet has good bass too (not the best though). Not many people rave about this can because the RRP was like £1000, but now for just £200 it is a super bargain!

I appreciate that there's a good chunk of people who use hotukdeals as a business venture, never post a deal, comment, vote or participate and have capital waiting to jump on a deal to make a quick buck on ebay, have done so myself a few times in the past with specialist type items where people don't immediately realize how good a price is on first sight, normally too slow for goldmine opportunities like this one, but again, so what? This is true in all walks of life if you look under the seams. Every business anywhere does this as best it can and has no ethics at all. Even the ones that are "ethically responsible" and so forth are only doing so as a marketing tool and to create a niche.
We are exploited every day for our hard earned money.

Again not being patronising or trying not to be on purpose but it really is a level playing field, if you've got the motivation and scruples you can make as money as you like at the expense of others. If you haven't/don't then so be it, that's your choice, we live in a democracy after all and the defenition of democracy in real terms, is do what the hell you like within the confines of the law, or not getting caught.

Not sure why posting all that, but there we go.

Not sure why either. Your "So what" comment summed up perfectly all you had to say. The rest seems like pretentious gibberish.
