In ear 'earphones' not head phones ;-)

Had a pair of the previous version, nothing special at this price. If you want quality that'll blow these away, try the Vsonic GR07, amazing earphones.

Apparently who thought this is expensive is not an audiophile...
Good deal for me, but not buying even though I haven't listened to them before, but I doubt it can match the sound quality of a full size headphones (e.g.: HD700, etc).

At that price they'd have to at least be bluetooth LE. Sad to see Sennheiser resting on their laurels these days and milking their brand name for everything it was worth. Haven't seen anything really innovative from them for as long as I can remember.

Wow thats expensive

I don't care what people say but why would someone pay £192 for headphones, that's just being silly

Apart from the HD800.

For all the people complaining about price... fine that's your choice. Stick to your cheaper earphones and if they make you happy, then happy days.

I'm by no means an audiophile but I do appreciate good sound quality. I've had a set of these for approx. 4-5 years and nothing I have heard comes close. Now I got a very good deal and paid £80, but given how good they have been and how long they have lasted, I'd say they are worth their money at full price.

i own the newer model of these ( .ie80s) and would never go back to anything cheaper. the sound quality is incredible and certainly worth the asking price

I have had the IE8's for a couple years now (from IE7s) and have no plans on upgrading them becuase I am extremely happy with their performance. I listen to house,rnb,rap/hip,garage/grime and soundstage/mid bass performance on these are amaRzing. You also need to burn these in (so dont judge straight out the box) id recommend atleast 50hrs people will say anything from 30-400hrs ive seen. :0

If you plan on spending this kind of money on earphones, you should probaly do your own research with the other products in this price bracket. Peoples personal opinons and tastes including mine may not suit yours.

Just for your reference, I bought this three years ago from amazon.de for less than 200 eur.

Sorry cold from me. I got the newer ie80 for £169.99 from John Lewis a few weeks back.
