It's a mono mic. I'd go for a better mic myself for this price
I wouldn't go for this. I'd go for Rode videomicpro which is £132 and so worth it. I've use this on my Sony a6300 and does an amazing job for professional videos
I use the video micro after always forgetting to charge the battery on the mic pros.
Okay

Okay but there's almost a £50 price difference. But at that price point I'd get the Shure VP83 over the Rode VideoMic Pro. Better sound quality. Uses a single AA battery vs a 9V battery. Better battery life. Shure is made of solid metal and the Rode made of plastic.

Ladies, please remember, this is not a toy, but a mic.

I actually said I use the rode Video MICRO and its only £35-£40, made of all metal and never needs to be charged. I am not saying choose one over the other but for fitting on my mirrorless and travelling, its prefect.
