in-ear phones?

i prefer out-ear phones...

I thought "In ear" was the term used for ones with ear buds?

e.g.

There are 2 types of equipment

In-Ear are small ones...that fit in your ear....

or

Head-Phones.....the big ear muff style

So did I.

These aren't worth any more than £3.99. Cheap crap with a brand name people like.

For clarity's sake: these are earbuds. They don't go into your ear canal. In-ear ones do (as the picture above). There are also headphones which go over your ears (and plenty of types there: on ear, circumaural [around ear] etc.).

It's a decent price if you don't like in-ears and aren't after great shakes from your music.

Thanks.. ordered

Someone must have changed the rules because I've been calling these "ear bud" style headphones "in-ear" for about 20 years, long before those ear-canal monstrosities came along.

This is what a proper in-ear phone looks like

Well at the time they were as "in-ear" as headphones went...but yeah, easier to avoid confusion

Although, to be fair, the picture does a pretty good job at that.

Thanks, that's 1 Christmas present sorted.

I got these for using in the gym, cheap cheerful and surprisingly good. Easily better than four pound town efforts.

I've got some of these earphones too - they're OK, but not the Sennheiser quality I used to know - just kinda cheap and work. I also use them for the gym ;-)

Totally Agree

and i much prefer these type too, i find the ear canal ones totally uncomfortable i have the Mx270's and they sound great (£9.99 @ Argos) if these are anything like then a bargain.

Psssst.... these arent in-ear! Mainly due to the fact they are not in your ear.

Ive got a pair of the type posted by Mitchell and they just dont stay in the ear, despite trying the various sizes of rubber supplied, the other style are perfect and been after a pair for a whilse since the pair ive been using with my phone are broken. Thanks OP.
