I think these are the 2015 model, but a great price as far as I can see right now. In most places they are around the £99 mark and I don't think I've ever seen them cheaper (Possibly Amazon at the same price a while back, now £99?)

Anyway, a big fan of Sennheiser and am pretty tempted by these, even though I don't need them (Story of a HUKD'er, right? :D)

I know it's irrational but when I see a message like this it just makes me want the deal to go hot.

Would these work from the controller of a ps4? (Has an audio-out/mic-in 3.5mm jack socket)

more than two but not many.
Can't really fault this brand. I've got a much cheaper pair and after 9 years, one side started to fail. Turned out to be a break in the wire. Open it up, dragged some of the cable in, cut off the bad bit and resoldered. Works perfect. I'll probably get another 9 years out of it. If my DIY hack had failed I would've got this pair.
It can be better getting a dedicated headphone+mic setup instead.
I know it's more expensive but it is worth it in the long run. Headphones tend to have better build quality than headsets. Not having a mic is one less thing to go wrong later on too.

If you mostly game then I'd suggest an AKG. If you do a bit of everything I'd suggest Sennheiser. For a mic I went for a Samson go mic and a stand. You can go for a clip on mic but I prefer to not have more than 1 cable on my person.

I've used the 363d version for a couple of years now and boy they are amazing. I got them at that time for just over £200 and if that version is anything to go by, this'll be certainly bang for your buck.

Don't see why not, standard four pole mini jack, unless sony have their own wiring for these jacks but doubt it.
Great price for a great headset. The original PC 350 lasted many years before I switched to the Astro A40/Mixamp, which I honestly felt unhappy with for a long time, just a slight lack of range and bass response. I eventually went back to the PC 350 and I can hear so much more activity when playing Rainbow Six Siege its night and day between the two.

Also a close second to these in the same price range, would by the HyperX Cloud (v1) headset, which has a much lower impedence (60 Ω ) to these (150 Ω) - basically you need less power to drive the HyperX to get the same volume, and they only have slightly less range.
I doubt a PS4 controller could power the PC 350 because of the high impedance, and if they could the volume would be really low.
