24/7 care for sensitive teeth

Specially formulated with people with sensitive teeth

It also contains fluoride to prevent decay

Its new minty taste keeps mouth feeling clean and fresh

Fluoride toothpaste

It contains an antimicrobial agent which with twice daily brushing helps to remove plaque above the gum line, and works to maintain healthy gums. Plaque build up can lead to gum recession and increased tooth sensitivity.

It also contains fluoride to prevent decay.

Its new minty taste keeps mouth feeling clean and fresh.

What is tooth sensitivity?

Teeth are protected by a hard layer of enamel. If this is damaged or worn away then the dentine underneath may become exposed and this can cause pain.

How is tooth sensitivity caused?

Gum recession exposing dentine at the gum line

Enamel erosion caused by fizzy, sweet and/or acidic drinks

Wearing away of the enamel caused by over enthusiastic brushing

These factors can make your teeth hypersensitive to heat, cold, sweetness, acidity or just when brushing.

Why use Sensodyne Gum Protection?

Sensodyne Gum Protection has been specially formulated for people with sensitive teeth. With regular brushing Sensodyne Gum Protection helps strengthen teeth, fights tooth decay and promotes gum health.

Number one dentist recommended brand for sensitive teeth. Dentists have been recommending Sensodyne for many years. Sensodyne Gum Protection is a low abrasion, fluoride containing toothpaste that, when used twice a day, provides 24/7 care for sensitive teeth.

These were half price last week. B1G2F is fantastic. Will check tomorrow during my weekly shop. Thanks.

Had a look today. I like the Pronamel type as it gives an idea of how it works to reduce sensitivity but there isn't any info on these or reference to the proarginin active ingredient which is supposed to seal the holes reducing pain. Held off until I get some better info as so far it seems just like the last generation of pastes.- Am I over-thinking this!!??

Do not buy this; GSK tested this on Humans !!

Well I would hope it was tested using humans lol, good deal thanks

Worse - they tested it on animals before humans!

should avoid toothpastes containing 'Fluoride'

Voted Hot. Excellent buy.

The reason they put fluoride into toothpaste is to provide some level of protection against decay and also helps to strengthen areas of demineralisation on the tooth surface. As an adult it is impossible to overdose on fluoride unless you eat all three tubes. Even then it will only make you unwell. You should be looking for at least 1000 ppm fluoride in your toothpaste and preferably 1450ppm. So in response you shouldn't avoid fluoride toothpastes and I have never worked with any dentist who says you should.

only toothpaste i can use is sensodyne rapid relief...anyone know if this will work as good ?

What did the animals say about sensodyne then? Any good or do they prefer the original tube?

No longer available at Tesco, Golden Hill, Bristol on 31st Jluy

Methinks this is overpriced in the first place...I always buy the cheapest own brand...works just as well. Wilkinsons & Asda are good. The marketing strategies of big business try to make us believe in miracles!
