Going on holiday next week for a fortnight and never checked whether the hotel had a safe, turns out it doesn't.

Saw this and thought it would do in terms of a deterrent for keeping passport etc in, at less than a kilo it weighs next to nothing and it should do the job.

Pricing seems to vary quite a bit online, but £13.05 and available to pick up in store seemed like a great deal to me.

What would you fix this to in a hotel room?

Tie it round any exposed pipes? Balcony railings? Anything really, even the rail in the wardrobe if it's fixed.

I don't expect it to stop professional safe crackers by any stretch of the imagination, but for the opportunist, it has to be a deterrent.
Can this be taken on a plane?

Why wouldn't it be able to? Assuming it's kept unlocked in your hold baggage etc.

Anyone with access and time could open this, no skill required. So I wouldn't leave it unattended anywhere as it screams "valuables inside" if you must leave it, lock it inside your suitcase out of sight inside your room.
Do you get a nice bright sticker saying "Hi Hotel staff, this £12 box contains loads of high value items. Please leave it alone"
Its just a magnet to thiefs.
Here is a thing....
I am going camping in a tent with my grandchildren later this year.
They will be bringing their tablets/phones with them and we will lock them in the car for safekeeping when we are at the pool during the day.
However, i need something that i can use to lock away my car keys and keep them safe
Suitable ideas anyone?
ziploc type waterproof bag that you hang around your neck. Get them from sailing/ surf shops or suchlike. Come in various sizes so can put a phone in one if you want.

Thanks for that.
I ll look into it
The rail in the wardrobe is very secure to hold this lol, also a little tug on anything it's tied onto it will come loose and small enough to just walk away with and open later on rubbish invention.
