Heat from me, a very good review means its time to upgrade the DVD copy.
Universal must love me, have it on DVD, UMD and now Blu Ray!

I've got this on DVD but I'm tempted to get the Blu Ray. It's a great film.

Before the Firefly haters arrive just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the series and this film. Shiny!

I actually saw the movie first. I was so much impressed by it and did some research and came to know about the series. Needless to say, the series is superb !!! (I still don't understand how such a decent series get such low ratings?)

I would love to hear from one of these Firefly haters.
Wonder what they would call a good show...

I'm not a Firefly hater per se; I adored the series itself but felt that Serenity suffered from having to cram too much into such a short running time. A good film all the same and an excellent deal at this price, so hot from me.

Let's see:

1. Fox didn't air the pilot first - they started with the second episode.
2. It was on Friday nights - a very bad slot in the US.
3. Generally poor promotion - Fox didn't know how to sell the show.
4. Other episodes were shown in the wrong order.
5. Episodes got delayed and moved around because of sporting events.

There's more that I'm sure I've forgotten. Such a shame - even as it is, Firefly is one of my favourite shows ever.

great film at a bargain price

I love this film... even at £7.99 this is a bargain but at £6.99 it is even better. Joss Whedon is a legend... can't wait for The Avengers movie!!!!

Wasn't sure about this, but all the positive comments (and bargain price) have convinced me.

I had the DVD, HD DVD and now blu-ray!

IMDB is always a good reference... 7.9 out of 10... anything over 7 is usually pretty good!

Didn't know there were any Firefly haters. It seems like one of the few things that everyone loves

I think I paid £8 for this and it was a bargain at that price. also has a couple of extras not on the dvd

And you'll have it on blu ray's successor in 5 years time!!

Just bought it on the strength of this post and looking at a couple of reviews. Heat added.

I actually have this on HD DVD (fo rlike 2 quid ages ago), and am tempted to get it on Blu ray

Love Firrefly and Serenity

Same here...had it on dvd, got it on HD-DVD....and I'll probably get the BR now!

Fantastic film, fantastic series.

Awesome !!!

Glad to see lots of Browncoats on HUKD

I've taken the plunge too - count me in to the DVD/HD-DVD and Blu Ray Serenity Owners Club too!!!

Redbull. I too have DVD and hddvd. I wonder how you found the hd version? I was disappointed. Lots of (deliberate?) grain, particularly in dark scenes. I was wholly unimpressed. I'm tempted to go for this BR too but I wonder if it will be a step up from DVD this time.
