ummmm, after some of these, are they universal? Need some to go camping with to fit my roof box onto the Citreon C4 grand picasso.

Hot.

I bought these last time Lidl had them and am well impressed with the quality.

Size wise, they are tested on a 2005 Jaguar X type estate, VW Passat 2001 estate, 2006 Landrover Freelander. They didn't fit a Mercedes ML320 as they weren't wide enough.

The quality is pretty good on these and marvellous for the money. I've got a Thule roof box and bars and the Thule bars aren't really that much better than these Lidl (Brio branded) items - great value for money.

These are 120cm long. See my post above as to what they do & don't fit; it may assist with the comparison to the C4.

Do theses only fit car with roof rails as per picture?

Yes - indeed, they will not fit cars without factory fit roof rails.

Thanks for heads up OP. Got some last year for my Corolla Verso and after seeing them my Father in law was on the look out for some for his Skoda Yeti. Lidl on Thursday morning it is then!

I wonder if they would fit a Rover 75 tourer estate

They should judging by what I can find on the web and that they fit my Jag / fitted my passat before.

Edit - infact, Waxacar on ebay are selling these actual roof bars to fit the 75 for a nifty - ebay.co.uk/itm…5d8

Hi Squeal; I've got a Corrolla Verso T180 with the standard factory fitted roof rails - do these Lidl roof rails fit well on your Verso then?

It would be great if they did - as were off to the Lakes in a couple of weeks - and defo need the extra space.

I also need to look out for a deal on a roof box!

Mines an 05 T-Spirit. The roof bars slide open upto 120cm wide which is tight when trying to slide the bars over the factory fitted rails towards the front of the car. It's usually easier to fit at middle of car then slide them forward. They do whistle a bit over 60mph, mind you for the money you can't go wrong.

Thanks for the info. Cheers

Is the width adjustable? I have a Kia Ceed SW and the roof rails measured from outer edge to outer edge are approx 103cm?

Thanks OP. I'm not going to be able to get there until the evening, so I doubt there will be any left by then.

It sounds like they'd be too big for your car.
120cm is usually the right width for a Mondeo sized car.

If its the bars that are 120cm, and the bars themselves protrude beyond the rail, then perhaps they might still fit? Otherwise damn!

It doesn't state a minimum size, but they adjust in and as you say the bar protrudes past the end. I'd bet on them fitting but it would be nice if they put a min size.

They should fit the Ceed no problem. The feet sit in a slot within the bars. Before you tighten them you can slide them along the bar to get the right fit, then when you clamp them onto the roof rail they also tighten within the bar. I would expect they will fit almost any small/mid size car as long as it has rails.

Now the real question is, would they fit a Rover Metro...

we have bought it last year very use full and its fit in my Skoda Octavia estate
thank you

Sounding more encouraging. Lidl and Aldi are usually pretty good at taking things back if they didn't fit.

Actually looks like you're okay if they project up to 305mm either side.

From the 1986 road traffic act:

111
82.—(1) No load shall be carried on a vehicle so that the overall width of the vehicletogetherwith the width of any lateral projection or projections of its loadexceeds 4.3m.
(2) Subject to the following provisions of this regulation, no load shall be carriedon a vehicleso that—
(a)
the load has a lateral projection or projections on either side exceeding305mm; or
(b)
the overall width of the vehicle and of any lateral projection or projectionsof its loadexceeds 2.9m.

Hey thanks for the research, these look a handy bargain not to miss.

Had these for a couple of years, fit the newer shape Kia Sedona no prob. Adjustable as others have said. Great value.

Will they fit my Bugatti Veyron?

will pick some up for my octavia thursday, thanks

The instruction manual is on their website if that helps.

Cracking job. They will fit my Kia Ceed SW. Thanks for posting the link.

Sorry to be silly but on the list there are several names some have a x some dont and want to make sure it will fit my citreon c4 grand picasso so which ones are these from the list so i can check before i trek to the shops? Thanks Lisa

You can squeeze a little more width out of them. They won't fit an 05 VW Touran according to the manaul, but I have them set up on mine. They secure fine, but without the overhang so you can't put the end cap on - leaves them exposed to water ingress but after two years theres no sign of any damage and they've done the southwest and back twice with four bikes on, no issues at all.

Managed to pick some up this morning. There were about ten sets out on display, not sure how many more they had in the back.

went to my store this am they had about 10 of these. dont fit my car sadly there is a full list on the back of compatibility

Just picked up a pair in Oxford. Fits my Mk3 Mondeo estate just fine. I reckon they had about 20 sets on display near the back of the store.

Top marks to the OP; voted hot.

I've just picked mine up and I'm really pleased as I was about to go and spend £100-150 on a Thule set. Although the build quality and robustness aren't quite as good as a Thule (pretty subjective but about 2/3rds) they are only a fraction of the price. I can confirm that they (perfectly) fit a 2008 BMW 3 Series Tourer with raised roof bars.

Plenty of stock left in the Swindon store (the one near Wickes).

I picked mine up this morning for my Mercedes C class Estate W204 from the Letchworth branch, Over 10 in stock.
It did not list my model on the packet but fitted perfectly and looks good.
Thanks incognito good spot.

Bought mine yesterday morning. Still in packet but must say they look great. Fantastic price for something that might otherwise cost me in well in excess of £60.

Thanks. Got some today for VW Touran. Heat added.

Unfortunately didn't fit the touran 56 plate.
