You know what this thread really needs... a bit of a debate about how good or bad Michelin and every other brand of tyre is! Hehe.
The one thing I would say about Michelin’s ... they are going to need an updated mascot brand as tyre man could be seen as ‘fatist’ - making people with a slightly bulky or larger build to be likened to a stack of tyres.

If you're a Costco member, check the price there. They fit them as well and they usually do deals on Michelin. Not these, but we've got some Michelin all season and were about £65-70 including fitting, more discount when you get 4. Voted hot!

Brilliant tyres in wet conditions. Just make sure you check air pressure every month or these good tyres will wear quicker

I'm sure it will happen 😁 Tyres are all down to personal choice I guess. All I can say is Continental Contact Sport 5 tyres are loud!

In a good way on your pimped up GTI or in a ‘turn up the radio cos I can’t hear a thing’ bad way. Hehe.
Not for 19inch promotion

I swapped to these from continental contisportcontact, these perform much better and quieter, seem to wear quicker though

Ha ha. Definitely in a bad way! They're brutal on certain road surfaces. Thought all four wheel bearings had simultaneously packed in! Suppose it all depends on what car you have them fitted on... I wouldn't recommend them if you own an A3.
Excludes N. Ireland.....

That's reassuring to hear. I'm in the same boat as you. Contis handled well, but the noise was unbearable. I narrowed it down to Pilot Sport 4 or Primacy 4... The Primacy 4 wasn't included in the promotion, so Pilot Sport won the day.

I feel your pain. Michelin Primacy 4 is included in your size if that helps. 'W' speed rating.
Asda tyres have £50 back as a card for two Michelin tyres, unfortunatly I had to buy 2 x 275 35 19 and 2 x 255 35 19 today, it cost a lot.....but as I did two orders I will get £100 back. My M4 came with Conti's I am so glad to be moving....
These tyres (225/40 R18) are about £98 each fitted at your local Costco, and every 9 weeks they have a promo for 3 weeks to knock off £80 to £100 for 4. They're excellent tyres, I have them on mine. 2.4mm wear (5.0mm from 7.4mm new) for 7k miles on the front wheels of a 2019 Polo GTI+, so they wear ok too.
I tried to post a deal for ASDA tyres, however they are a banned merchant, so please proceed with caution.

I looked at their deal too. The £50 pre paid credit card wasn't quite as good a deal as the £75 cash back from camskill.

Are they on offer now? Im looking costco too but i don't see the offer? I want to get 4. On my a3 saloon
£369, a good price & I think beats Costco.
Have these on my Golf R wagon, replaced the factory fit Bridgestone. Night and day difference.
Extra heat seeing as us paupers with Cadiz wheels get this and the Pret fanboys don't

I looked at Camskill unfortunately my tyre sizes weren't included in the promotion. No idea why not, they cost a small fortune each, I ended up spending £750 before cashback
Not on 245 40 18

My last car was an R on Prets and it came on Bridgestones - not the S001 that Cadiz and GTD/GTI owners sometimes, but RE050A, which were just as bad. Car was transformed on Michelin PSS. Current car Polo GTI+ came on Bridgestone Turanza T001 and just as bad. Swapped to PS4 soon after.

I don't know, we fitted 2 in March and they were on offer, we also fitted 2 a month ago and they were on offer too. We fitted the old ones years ago as well at Costco, again Michelin, and they had the offer at that time too. It sees the offer comes quite often, I think was posted here as well, so if not in a rush, keep an eye.
This is THE tyre! Thank you very much OP!
Clicked the deal and - ** This product is not included in the Cashback Promotion **
AVOID this company.i spent with them lots of money in past never had problem you pay and receive your tyres.BUT once they faulty dont expect anything from them .i am preparing youtube video with whole story.
Warranty claim: send your tyres back to us /of course on your own expenses/ we will send them to manufacturer for test.this mean: remove faulty tyres and if you want to use your vehicle buy new tyres just this stiep together with shipping extra 300pounds /2 tyres/after i have bought 2 years ago brand new premium tyres from them which has 5 year warranty..

Looks like they've removed the cashback from this tyre size. May be available in other sizes.

I had them and confirm they are loud. I also have currently Michelins Sport 4 on and cannot recommend it really. Holds your car on the road really well, but they're as soft as butter. After 6k miles I have only 3mm tread left in front ones and 6mm in rear. Here is my question as well. Can tyres wear to cords (on inner sides) in 6k miles when tracking has been done at the time of fitting? I have been back to the place where I got it all from and they refusing refunding (I claim tracking must be done wrong as it is not possible to wear tyres on inner sides to cords within less than 6k mileage considering I am not a racing driver). Been offered discount 30% on new tyres which I take as admitting fault as there is no reason to give discounts just like that. Any one had that experience? Thanks
These are a great price would buy these in a heartbeat if I didn't already have a spare pair of goodyear in my garage waiting to go on when ready

Some tyres wear differently on different cars. I had a VW Scirocco once that chewed up the insides of the Pirelli P7s it came on (back wheels, fronts were fine). Changed to Goodyear after checking tracking (it wasn't out) and got even tyre wear thereafter.

Did the tyre place that sold you the tyres do the tracking?

It seems to come around every 3 or 4 cycles of the warehouse offers (that last 2 or 3 weeks each). Cycles between, no offer, Bridgestones, Goodyears and Michelins.

Try Costco. I got 235/35 R19 Michelin PSS for my old Golf R way cheaper than anyone else was doing them for at the time.

Yes. Ats euromaster. I had tyres and 4 wheels tracking done there. When they checked tracking with last visot when I complained it was 6mm off on passenger side and 2mm off on drivers side. Inner sides front tyres weared to cords in 6k miles...
Can confirm that cash back has been paid £341.40 was taken from my account today... £75 paid in shortly afterwards.
Heads up for everyone. Car tyres have a month/year of manufacture on them. You should not put trees on that are older than 12months because the rubber deteriorates. I think these deals come in waves because the company wants to get rid of older tyres. I go in person to have new tyres fitted and ask to see tyres and date of manufacture before fitting. That way you can decline the tyres before they are fitted and incur no costs if you walk away.
Tyre wears depends on loads of factors. I've got 60k miles out of a set of michelin energy saver x's and 56k out of michelin all weathers.
