My local Tesco store are selling Freeview boxes with Setanta for £25. They have a fair few left in stock and there are two types to pick - Astratec (twin scart and lead) or Sagem (Single Scart and no lead). Both are same price (or if you are mad you can buy the Sagem without Setanta for the same price).

Not sure if available online but if it is then there is Quidco as well as Clubcard points.

1st post so be kind!

Think you will find it was posted as £29 and now down to £25:thumbsup:

yep and the original post was updated to mention the revised price

Does anyone know if you have to sign up to setanta for the free month of it just works out of the box as i dont fancy the hassle of trying to cancel it afterwards as i wont really watch it other than over xmas?

If you are going to cancel be prepaired to have a long wait on hold to cancel it at 10p I was on hold for 40 mins to be told I hadent had the service for 30 days so couldent cancel and had to call back 5 days later with another 50 min wait so my free 2 months cost me £9 in calls if you dont intend to keep it dont get involved with these clowns have a search on google about canceling setanta:)

Not only do you have to sign up but they try to impose a 2 month contract. So although you have free connection & one month subscription with the package, the still want to take a month's subs when you sign up.

There is no mention of a 2 month contract during the sign up process & there is no reference to one in their T&Cs. This is clearly yet another of their ploys to make cancellation as difficult as possible.
