I've had plenty of these 1,2,2.5 tonners over the years and all have served well, but last year I bought a sealey 3 ton jobby and it's a world apart!... SGS do something similar for 77 quid'ish (HERE) , well worth the extra in my eyes, epec' if you do a lot of home stuff

I have a halfords jack 2T and its excellent. Its a big bugger but its no comparison to the smaller jacks. Makes life a breeze. halfords.com/too…tml

I have this one also, great jack and fits under low profile cars no problem.
Stopped using the cheaper ones as not very good compared to this one cost a lot more though.

So can u work under the car whilst hacked up with one of these, or is it recommended to use stands too

Always use axle stands with jacks if your going under it,but if your changing something (brakes,wheels-stuff like that)it will be fine.
I normally put my wheel under just incase.

always use axel stands whenever you work on a car.... jack could fail, car could get banges off jack so dangerous...

Asking this question means that you should not even fill your own washer bottle never mind jacking a car up

Absolutey... i run nippers juke up one ramp to change exhaust... whilst i was under the car it rolled off the ramp (totally my fault!), just managed to slither out and the sill nipped me chest.... the bit of extra ground clearence saved me lol....
Good deal. Still using my 15 year old Lidl trolley jack, but been looking for a replacement.
I have one car that requires a fairly low profile jack and another one which is a 4x4. I've been looking for one jack that is both low profile and has a high lift, but the only ones I've seen are big money.
Thanks! Bought. Very useful for low profile cars and appears well built
