3 ways to get around your wife:

1. Listen to her, actually listen!
2. Clean/tidy something.
3. Let her have the remote control for a short period of time.
Another big boy's toy ordered! Thanks
Price doesn't seem that impressive when compared to buying it from the Far East, good price for amazon uk, but the rrp is fantasy.

is not the same copter. for sale at amazon is the Sanhuan SH8830
Has anyone actually owned/flown one of these? As the only review on Amazon had not used it yet. Or can anyone recommend a cheap rc helicopter for outside use?
10 minutes flight per full charge...doesn't sound too exciting to me!

most of the models i know you can only use outdoors on a calm day. problem with this model it is huge, so hardly useable indoors.
I'd recommend getting a collective pitch heli rather than a contra rotating. collectives fly better but do tend to be more expensive

I do all those things every day actually
It's about buying things from HUKD every day and I don't need 99% of them.
They are just cheap
Ordered two, what a great price. The small ones used to cost more than this. Great find heat added.
Do you think everyone making a comment and voting are MALE! Boys toys rock.

Battery technology isn't good enough for things like this. I'll wait a few years I think.
What's the difference between this one's and those syma (can't remember the full name) ones?

this one is huge compared to the syma (031G/032G/033G) (75cm), means it is hardly useable indoors.... and for outdoors use the battery might be to weak ( 7.4V), the voltage drop on the batt pack from running 2 x 380 motors on a heli that size and weight must be drawing quite a few amps.
Never buy a helicopter without easily available spare parts. Rotors, motors, batteries, main shafts, linkages etc, eventually you're going to need some spares due to crashes or wear and tear.

Secondly co-axials are the most basic type of toy helicopter, they're only suitable for beginners or kids. They don't have enough headspeed or control authority to fly outdoors on anything more than a still day. So this particular one is too big to use indoors and no good at handling wind outdoors.

no worries, spare parts are avaible for this heli... search for SANLIANHUAN (aka SANHUAN) SH 8830

correct, that is a reason to avoid this one

Might be the same helo; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svIEJmYhdFY

yeah, that is the exact type
heat
So, 10mins battery life(flight time), can't fly in the slightest of wind. Lack of spare parts available.
Anyone share some positives?
I bought a helicopter from Hamleys at a premium price and have been back about four times so far when they have either fixed or replaced the whole thing. Sometimes you get what you pay for with these but I have to say £25 for something that big is a good price if it flies well outside.

Buy 10 of these.
Screw them to a plank of wood.
Start them up and you can escape.
Easy peasy!!

(I'm assuming that the one remote will be able to control all the choppers)
