Pc gamers get mocked for spending a lot on a pc, then using it to play minecraft (released in 2009).

I purchased a ps pro, then use it to replay shadow of the colossus (somehow originally released in 2005)..

They did such a good job with the remake to be honest (the original was way ahead of its time), the new version is a great example of what the ps4 pro is capable of.

It depends on how long you want to spend exploring the world.

If you just run straight to each Colossus it's only a few hours long. If you hunt for fruits and lizards considerably longer.

It has 3 difficulties to choose from. It's hard for me to say how hard it is because I beat the original on PS2 and I found I still remember how to beat the early few Colossi I've gone through, so it's easier for me than a new player.
Curious to try this as it's supposedly a 'classic' but I can't help thinking it looks a bit boring from the gameplay videos I have watched. Will probably give it go when I can pick it up for around the £15 mark.

Wish they had included the cut colossus's. I think there was about 30+ but had to cut half of them due to time/limitation's on the PS2. So there are some areas that look designed for a colossus, but no colossus due to cuts. Maybe they can include them as DLC this time around?

It was an amazing game when it was first released on the ps2. Along with Ico, these have to be two of the best games released at the time.

Your intuition is spot on. I can't think of any other game that just has 16 bosses to fight with absolutely naff all to do in between time.

Took me just under 6hrs. The general completion time seems to be between 5 and a half and 6 and a half hours.

I did enjoy it but got through it a lot quicker than I expected and I dont really have any desire to play through it again.
Personally I'd say wait till it's around £15 or less because even though it is good and looks really nice, there is no replay value for the average gamer

Boring? I wish to have more videogames like this one... unfortunately the new gaming generation don't really understand and don't appreciate anymore old games like this one. Pure art

There is a gold trophy to "Complete Hard Mode Under 5:41:28 s". How Long To Beat has it at...
Main Story 6½ Hours
Main + Extras 10 Hours
Completionist 16½ Hours
All Styles 7 Hours

I never got around to playing this back in the day on my PS2, so I am really looking forward to checking it out on my PS4 Pro (it looks like my kind of game ). Just ordered now from Amazon using a gift card I’d had for my birthday (wasn’t sure what to buy). Heat added. Many thanks OP

I found the original hard to enjoy because of the horrid controls and frame rate. Playing it through now in the 60fps it is so much more enjoyable and I feel I'm now experiencing the game as intended.
Loved this. Still have the limited edition card slip cover version with art cards for PS2 and the same for Ico.
Great price, thanks! I'm going to buy this for my 5 year old son as he loves games where you ride around aimlessly on horseback. I've had to stop him playing Witcher 3 now as he managed to find his way to the adult parts so I'm hoping this is more child-friendly.

Only if you turn the TV volume right down
for a 5 year old just dust off the ps3 and play it on there
