And what do you think about it now?

It is way better than I imagined it. When I play I forget I do not play on my PS4 but on my Stadia. I've been using it for 4 weeks now, own 5 games each run as smooth as silk. Some games are enhanced to PS version such as Destiny 2 that runs 60fps rather than 30fps as it does on PS. GRID has an exclusive 40 players online mode on Stadia. I used to be subscribed to PS Now and need to say that Stadia is way better than that. I cannot see any differences between buying Stadia games or buying digital games from any other game store. What if Stadia closes in 5 years? What if PS closes in 5 years? What is Xbox, Epic, Steam, etc... close in 5 years? Anyway, my experience is very positive with Stadia.

Well, Stadia is the cheapest option to buy this game with all DLCs and you owe it as much as you owe a game in any other digital game store, so I cannot see the point of your comment.

There is a big difference if Sony or Microsoft abandon the PS4 or Xbox one you can still continue playing your games. Whilst with stadia you are stuffed if that happens. It will be one hell of an expensive mistake.

I had Stadia but sent it back. Destiny 2 worked great and a FPS is always going to be a challenge for Streaming tech.

However, as an owner of a decent PC and couple of consoles, I couldn't justify it at the current time. I do see it having a future if Google build up a playable catalogue akin to Gamepass rather than buying each separate game. To that end, xCloud will do well and may be the better option especially if it transitions to Scarlet infrastructure.

I have compared Stadia to digital games that you can buy from PS and XBOX stores. If they go down you won't be able to play them either.

I see things slightly differently. I have been a console gamer for over 25 years and was never interested in cloud gaming, but Stadia was built on another purpose than convince me I was not right. This console is for the future generation(s) who grow up with their mobile devices in their hand. The main menu of this console is already living in those devices. I have a large catalogue, have played many games that I am not tending to buy again just to extend my Stadia library, but will definitely buy more games later. I still prefer my PS, but have to admit that the mobility of Stadia is amazing. I start to play a game on my tv, but want to have my diner at the same time. So, I just turn on my tablet or laptop that I can take with me to the kitchen and carry on playing my game where I left off on the tv, without any loading screens or loading time. After this I can go back to the living room or the bedroom to carry on playing the same game without needing to quit it. That's something very good.

Let's see if you would be able to do that once the servers have been switched down and tho console won't be able to validate the purchased games. I hope you are right, but would not hold my breath...
