thanks for comparison

this rice is nice

Haven't tried these before

Shahi Basmati - Tried once..Cheap but some stinking smell when cooked.
Tilda - Best and amazing Aroma of pure Basmati. Once tried, there's no looking back at other Basmati.

Thanks, OP. Did you see this instore? I'm not seeing Shahi brand at ASDA online.

I haven't checked my local. but deal link takes you straight to it online.

Tilda or Kohinoor are best.

Hot for the price!
I bought these from Sutton Asda on offer 2 for £10.
But this rice is not pure basmati rice , its more like long grain rice quality, size and smell, and to be fair the pack does say that it is 'fusion' of basmati & long grain.

The desc says "[Finest Long Grain Rice (70%) Basmati Rice]" so as mentioned by a prev poster it's not 100% basmati ..

this rice isn't good,bought 2 last month
not happy with it,returned 1 and got Akash
top class quality.thanks akash

It's only 30% Basmati so I will stay clear of this. Nothing less than pure 100% would do for me.

better of buying a sack and its their for as and when.

Rubbish rice - don't waste your money! Bought 2 bags a while back not realising what it was because I was in a rush...better to pay a bit more and get 100% basmati rice
