The issue isnt the build quality, it is the weight of all the plugs pulling the adapter out of the socket.

The less copper contact there is, the more heat that gets generated as the electricity passes through it; more heat equals more resistance, which equals more heat. At a certain point where it cannot radiate the heat faster than it is generated, you get what is called "thermal runaway", where it overheats rapidly, melts, and bursts into flames.

Even fully inserted, these can get warm to the touch when used for much more than 10amps; if you only use it for a couple of low current items like a modern TV or some lighting, fine; go plugging in a space heater or two, an electric fan or similar high current device and you are asking for trouble

A three-way will only go one-way

Came here to warn too. I see these things all the time get weighted down and not flush in the socket, which eventually can become hazardous due to overheating or arcing. There's deals on here all the time for multi-gang sockets, and I'd advise one of those over any type of this adapter, surge or not.

It's easily done. 3 heavy plugs. Just have to be careful with them. You don't need to use all 3 sockets either.

There's generally no fuse in them to protect from overload either. If a traditional multi gang lead isn't right for you consider this (albeit pricey) nifty looking gizmo, that is still not perfect but definitely less likely to be subject to cable strain and risk.
