Did you know the air quality inside your home can fluctuate, depending what is introduced to your home? Cooking, burning food, smoke, pollen, dust and cleaning products can all lower the quality of your air.

With 4 powerful fans and intelligent air quality monitoring, the Shark Air Purifier 4 automatically removes allergens, mould, bacteria and other particles from your air for all-day clean air confidence.

How does the Shark Air Purifier 4 work?

Delivers clean air, fast.

4-Fan Technology efficiently cleans air and quickly circulates it throughout the room, with 4 powerful air purifier fans. Auto mode adjusts the fan speed automatically to keep your air quality level optimum. You can also switch between speed settings manually or using the handy remote control – from air quality monitoring only, to quiet operation, to maximum cleaning.

Auto-adjusts cleaning power

Clean Sense IQ intelligently tracks your home’s air quality, automatically adjusting the air purifier’s cleaning power to keep your air quality level optimum, for all-day clean air confidence.

How? The built-in sensors detect and track air quality changes for you in real time. Auto mode then adjusts the fan speeds automatically. As air quality decreases, fan speed will increase. When your air quality reaches 100% cleaned, the fans will go into power saving standby mode.

The easy-to-read digital display reports results in real time. Simply toggle between:

Percentage (%) clean air – See whether your air quality is GOOD, FAIR or POOR and view the percentage of air that is clean.

Time left to clean – View the estimated number of minutes remaining until your air is 100% cleaned.

Particle amount – View the amount of particulate matter (PM) that is in your air. Switch between 2 particle sizes – PM 2.5 including smoke and bacteria, and PM 10 including dust, mould and pollen.

Choose from 3 display screen brightness levels including a ‘screen off’ setting, perfect for overnight use.

Multi-Staged Filtration

The Shark filter removes odours, captures 99.97% of pollutants and allergens at 0.3 microns, and traps dirt, dander and particles. A carbon layer within the filter removes and neutralises odours, from cooking smells to pet odours.

The display screen also clearly shows time remaining until the filter needs replacing. No need to wash the filters, they’re designed to perform optimally for 6-12 months with no maintenance needed.

We’re confident you’ll love your new Shark Air Purifier, offering a free 2-year guarantee for your peace of mind (upon registration with Shark, UK and ROI only).

So the filter costs 29.99 in discount as plain price was 59.
Nowhere I was able to find the filter specification therefore is likely true what someone above dropped in a comment, this is not an HEPA filter.

Now I have a much more expensive Stadler Roger Little, it has been around two years, when it came to change the filters, the second time I decided to go for an alternative compatible one from Amazon, which for the price was giving you 2.

Well, you can tell, the filtration quality and the activated carbon layer are different, so I'll use these filters but I will go back to the original after.

Ultimately if you want or need an air purifier either you con to the ones which comes with laboratory certificate, or you are just wasting your money.

So despite this being a fantastic price, after reading the reviews on the shark website, I believe that the price drop was done because the device is no good (or filters).

My Stadler is years old and still goes well, the tag price? Didn't change since bought it, expensive? Yes, filter expensive? Definitely yes. You need it ??

I suppose it depeds what you want it for. I just want something to help with dust from a woodburner and also to help with keeping pet odours down.

If I had a medical reason for needing one, I'd probably pay the extra but I am happy to give this a go for the price

Got the 6 fan model, works great, one look at the filter shows you how much it's sucking out

Bit misleading putting "HE" in the model number, when it's not actually a HEpa filter.

Do I need one ? got a log burner, will this take the smoke away ?
    Crazy-Climber's avatar
Yes it will do two things remove smoke particles and also help reduce smoke smell due to it having carbon filtration.

Does depend on room size though so if you need bigger they also have this on sale

I run a Conway purifier for the same reason. (edited)

Went for the HE600UK, direct from shark for £89.99. I decided the filtration is good enough to clean the air from pet dander and wood burner fumes.

Thanks for this. That’s a great price as currently £199 on Amazon. We have a Philips one in our bedroom and it’s stopped my wife’s allergies at night. Been after another one to have downstairs.
