What’s the difference been an air purifier and a dehumidifier?

Air purifier purifies the air. Dehumidifier removes humidity from the air. The clues are in the names.

Not as cheap as last week's Ebay deal on these.
I've had one about a week now - it's well built and powerful (the 6 is huge too! check the dimensions).
The sensor in it is rubbish so don't rely on the automatic mode - but set it to as loud a setting as you can cope with and leave it running and it does the job well.

Thanks for the tip. Had ours a week now and have only run it on auto.

Seems like a good deal to me. I have an old 3M Fap03 which is huge but very efficient. Filters are hard to find and expensive. Any ideas on replacement filter costs here ?

it is big and there is a smaller version depending on size of room - not finding it noisy though

Had mine about 2 weeks and the auto function doesn't work as the sensor is permanently stuck on 100% (even when my log burner is on and there is dust on top of the machine!). I still haven't had a reply from Shark even though I emailed them the day it arrived. It does work and it's not too big for my lounge at all which is why I haven't returned it. Might buy the smaller version for the upstairs landing.

Do these blow out fan cold air? I bought a different brand and it makes the room very cold.

They just blow out air, it might make you feel cold in the same way as a fan would, but it doesn’t actually cool the air.

I got one, it’s pretty big but it’s working fine although I only use it from time to time until it reaches 100%. Do you know how reliable it is? I noticed it detected more bad air when the heating is on?

The sensor in these is rubbish. Particulate sensors tend to be.
I also have a Levoit air purifier that convincingly turns up and down as dust is stirred up, the dog walks past etc. This Shark one seems to sit on 100% more often than not - I've just set ours to half fan speed constantly and (judging by the filter) it's doing a decent job at taking dust out of circulation.

Not if the “fresh” air is polluted so if you live next to the main road it’s worth it (edited)
