God what I'd give for a hair wrap, the hassle I have to go through to remove my missus hair from the hoover almost every time I use it is unreal

Does the anti hair wrap actually work?

I’ll second that to Python5 response! No it doesn’t work! I’ve got three daughters all long hair, bought this thinking brilliant solution to hair wrapped round rollers! Nope used it several times and did as shark said to do (use on hard floors after carpets) this is meant to force the hair into bin. Unfortunately it never did and went back as I may of just bought the normal Shark! The vac itself is big bulky heavy & unstable, but does perform well suction wise. Overall not worth the extra for the so called “anti wrap” Went back to a Vax which I’ve had the last 6yrs no probs and still picked up stuff the shark had missed!
Got this a while back great vac, 4 kids , 4 dogs used constantly, 5 star from me
Keep thinking Black Friday is around the corner. But then I think will deals really be any better than this. I have an Argos own brand hoover currently and it’s destroying my soul with its shocking carpet pick up....

Make sure you use the correct carpet length setting. Mine works perfect. If you have hair on the bar then put the setting on to low pile/hard floor then use it on a hard floor like laminate or tile and the hair will then transfer to the dust catcher. It says that in the instructions
I bought this when it was on the pre release at QVC last month - Its the best hoover I have ever had! I have long hair and ruin every hoover with it wrapping around it. It doesn't wrap round this one and I use it twice daily and have a dog too. the 5 year Guarantee is great too - although this does not cover the tools

Was it the same deal on QVC?
Ordered my dyson has just packed in. Hope it's a good as the reviews says.

Yes. Ours is a year old. So far so good.
i got this last year, only bad point is ours has now got a hole in the flexible hose , i wish i had registered it for the warrenty so i could get it repaired, otherwise its great
What's with all the different shark websites? This link takes you to sharkuprights.co.uk but the main shark website is sharkclean.eu has it at £250 and sharkvacuum.co.uk has it at £200 and is the one advertising this deal on google...
heard this soft roller is amazing for hard floors and carpets. Currently have a shark lift away Pro and it's awesome
Whats difference in this to the nv801ukt

How does this compare to Dyson?

People have different views but I would recommend shark over Dyson all the time. We had Dyson but went to shark not this model though and will definitely stay a shark customer.
Tried one for a bit and really didn’t like the design ,performance or ergonomics. The soft roller seemed to get dirty quite quickly after a few uses, so not sure if it needs to be regularly washed.

Was fairly easy to return luckily, but use PayPal so you have some protection if you don’t like it.

Now have a Sebo felix which I prefer, but it can topple over easier.

On the repair side of things if anything goes wrong you just ring the shark helpline and they send a new part out as required, usually arriving within 3 days. If the part needed is out of stock they get you to drop off the full shark unit at the parcel shop and then send out a complete brand new unit the next working day. Dyson by comparison take two weeks from reporting fault to sending an repair engineer to your house. If the engineer hasn't got the required part then it is usually another week to 2 weeks for them to return with the needed part/s after ordering them.

sharkclean.eu is the official shark website. The other links are also official but mainly relate to their tv adverts which offer the easy installment deals usually seen on ITV through the night.

If the machine was bought direct from shark then the machines 5 year warranty is automatically activated at point of purchase. Whilst it normally says you have to register 5 year warranty within 28 days you can use this form sharkclean.eu/uk/…ee/ to register a machine that is up to a year old. If it is older than a year you will need to ring them up and provide proof of purchase and they should be able to help you.
Can you buy the brush bar? We have a shark duo clean powered lift away which looks the same as this.

I think you should go for it now. It'll spark joy each time you use it (they're brilliant), so you won't regret it.

I agree great hoovers but the tools and the way they attach is crap.

Just going to ask this

I own a cleaning business, I own a shark and a Dyson and tbh vacuums at that price point there's very little between them.

The only reason I'd say get a Shark is they offer much better discounts and their customer service is better.

If you have a fault with a shark on say Monday 1st of November you'll get a new part by the Friday that week. If it's a Dyson you'll be lucky to get it sorted by December.

You can pick up an IF200UK for around £179 on a good day and they are all you need if you want to go cordless. Oh one more thing some Sharks are heavy, I mean really heavy. The one we have my wife can't carry up the stairs so always make sure of the weight.

Your opinion yes, and I’m entitled to mine your welcome

I’ve had dysons, vax, & Shark and in MY opinion the suction & functionality of the vacuum is no better than my vax pet maxx
Cheers OP ordered using the 4 easy payments option.

Which I did and still ended up with hair wrapped it was sent back, see pic below! I’m not complaining about it’s suction side of things, but the anti wrap feature in MY opinion on MY one which was the largest of the anti wrap vacuums it simply did not unwrap and end up in dust catcher as claimed! I couldn’t justify the extra £100 for a feature that didn’t do as claimed! I may of been unlucky who knows! Just be sure to check and ensure it works for you.
