Shark are the biggest selling hoover brand in the States, outselling Dyson.

The LED lights are very handy, but you’d only know that if you had the pleasure of owning one.

Agree, outperforms Dyson on many levels, most You Tube reviews agree too.

Sadly there will always be the Dyson fanboys, who are tunnel visioned into thinking Dyson are somehow the best....times change!

Nope, I meant “hoover”, the verb, as in “to hoover with a vacuum cleaner”.

The term hoover in a noun, as in the trademark brand, but the verb has been in the dictionary for about 20 years now.

Allegedlly they will use ones that were earmarked for allot of German cars.
Can anyone confirm this, unless I imagined it... was the 40min new cordless version in Teal (pet version) ever £249.99 on sharks website last week or just before? It’s currently £299 but I’m sure it was £249.

Tempted but runtime of 22 mins isn’t great. Xiaomi Dreame v9 at similar price point looks a better buy

Don’t worry mate, you’ll get comments like that from Dyson fanboys....those LED’s are very useful on days that are overcast, which is most of the time in the UK.

Could always switch a light on of course, something Dyson owners will be doing....making the overall cost of their vacuum even more expensive.

Yes, you'll just need an EU to UK plug adaptor.
The german models registered with Shark for the warranty without issue.

Ebay shark store. 2 year warranty. Its a beast!
Very ignorant lot, your number one question should be "How many Airwatts is this product" then compare with others.

So what is the Airwattage (suction) of this? Is it on par with the Xiaomi V9?
Great price! Ordered, thanks!
Sadly no tools for pets but voted hot!

20+ year Engineer here, who contributes (works for, on occasion) to Which? Magazine, and Air Watts is a laughable and almost meaningless term and one which you shouldn’t be basing a comparison with other machines on.

If as you say "Air Watts is a laughable and almost meaningless term to base a comparison on" can you tell us what you think we should be basing comparison upon? I for one would like to know and fairly sure others would be interested too. Thanks
What dimensions of the box it comes in please
Air Watts? Surely it should be Suck Strength, Vacuum Velocity, or Pulling Potency

You gotta love these marketing people.

Heat added and ordered!
I second the above previous comment. I bought the Xiaomi V9 from Edwaybuy, the official Xiaomi Europe outlet, for £143, a month ago. Arrived in 5 days from Germany, and it has changed my life. I cannot recommend it enough, and for the money (and 60 minutes runtime) it is a fantastic bit of tech that makes cleaning a joy (something I never thought I'd say about cleaning).

Air watts alone doesn’t do anything, we use pressure (a negative pressure is a vacuum), an area and a resultant Force, but there will be losses along the way (pressure drops), kind of like a voltage drop.

Physical dimensions of the product are important, the ability to minimise losses (pressure drops) and the mechanical advantage of the brushes, or whatever mechanism is helping lift debris, also the gap between bottom of the vacuum to the floor (shorter, to prevent further losses), and also the battery capacity (voltage, run time etc) are all important.

Honestly?, read the reviews of real people, ones that are unbiased of course.

My personal opinion?, Shark wins on hard floors, and Dyson on carpets, but I like the added features of the Shark (lights, removable battery, flexology etc).

Which? Magazine is an excellent unbiased resource, but on many occasions the review comes down to personal opinion instead of physical and proven fact.
