I'm sure she will, nothing says I love you more than a gift of vacuum cleaner. .

Is this a good model? I want one for hoovering cat hair off the sofa.

Cheaper and more effective to just get rid of the cat.

Seems like a really good deal, how does the suction compare with normal dyson upright or cylinder?
Only just bought this the other day for £180. Heat added

Having owned both products you mention shark vacs are far superior to Dyson and 6 years guarantee (by redemption) . Shark generally are cheaper and very well made.

I've heard good things about shark but this looks huge ugly and not very user friendly compared to Dyson's simple slim design.

Li-ion battery power is so good I don't know why people would wrestle with mains cables any more.
I bought the wife one of these as a joke birthday present (although the top model one), she loves it. Better than the dyson dc50 upright we had and no cord.
Very tempted, I assume these work well without the pole attachment too?

Shame it’s ao.. worst after Care I’ve come across in the sector

Similar sort of electrical power to a Dyson hand held on max setting.

Which is still under a third of the power of an old upright/cylinder.

At least it "lasts longer" than the 5 to 8 minutes you get from a Dyson battery model on max setting!
Seems a bit strange to make a corded vacuum look like a cordless one.

I have a shark and a dyson and if your wife has trouble with the weight I wouldn't get the shark or check on the weight first. I can't use the shark because its top heavy. All the weight is on your wrists and arms.

I have a shark...best vacuums ever
But this isn’t dyson

That's true I took my wife away for the weekend and presented her with one of these from the car boot as a surprise
I bought this for myself 4 months ago, best purchase ever! Suction is very good but it is quite top heavy as someone mentioned above so wouldn’t recommend if you want something light weight.
Dyson 50% Less than any shark vacuum best ever esp for pets and kids
Have both & sadly the shark should b chucked in the sea were it belongs although its plastic so prob not best place for it. Cleaned house with shark and then went over with dyson to pick the bits up the shark didn’t, save your money buy the dyson v10

I came here just to say that

Also, we have a model similar to this and it's ace. Battery doesn't last long enough to do a deep vacuum all over the house but because it's so convenient we spot vacuum the 'busy' areas much more regularly than we would with a corded vacuum.

Genuinely one of the best purchases I've ever made

Because one charge lasts about ten minutes on the highest setting

Seems a bit strange to make a corded vacuum look like a cordless one.

People are used to paying a premium for that shape, so not that strange from a marketing perspective.

'Handheld' vacuums of this basic shape have been around decades - but more popular now thanks to Dyson handhelds.
D carpet performance and C on hard floors
Carpet Cleaning Performance Class D is frankly awful and off-putting even though most of my downstairs is hard floors. A lot of the comments here seem to relate to a cordless model but this is corded...

Cheaper and more effective to not eat or wear shoes inside than you never have to vacuum
I have a Dyson DC59 at the moment. If anyone has used that and this model would be grateful for your thoughts...
had my Shark over a year now. would never go back to a dyson.
Looks like a prototype and must be heavy and awkward.
cold from me.
Dyson makes this formfactor much better.
No way as good as my Dyson V10.Looks ugly cheap and tacky.
Went from discount to full price expired?

Is it like sofology?

Yeah, but with more flexibility!
Not a direct comment on this vac but more relating to this

There is a 2 battery setup at £349.93 and a single battery setup at £249.95
Now as one can buy a battery at £70 am I missing something with the 2 battery one?
