This compared to dyson v8?
How do these compare to Dyson? At the original £320. They are almost trying to compete with Dyson.
Full price, this model should actually be £349, plus the additional £70 for another battery (£419). Nearly all retailers have the £100 off rrp, only Curry’s have the additional battery. From reviews I’ve read, these seem to be a big competitor of Dyson. Can’t comment on performance as I haven’t used it. Additional battery allows for 44min run time in total, compared to 25min (using motorised attachment) that the Dyson v8 achieves.
Has anyone done a proper Dyson v Shark megatest?

Have a look at Vacuum Wars on YouTube, they compare pretty much every vacuum cleaner.

Personally I have used this model and a Dyson V10 and find the V10 superior in pretty much every way - Although at £250 you can't really go wrong with the Shark unless you require a HEPA filter.

Ive got this model and its fantastic, its amazing how much it picks up compared to other brands. The battery life is pretty good, i sometimes manage to get about 50mins on carpet with standard suction. The life is reduced which you use the more powerful suction.
Highly reccoecomend
These are fantastic Hoover's. I've had 3 Dyson's of differing value, and I think it stands to reason that my phone trys to autocorrect Dyson's to the word 'stains'

Dyson V8 has a 425W motor. Shark if200uk has a 300W motor and weighs 50% more than the V8. The V8 is much better, especially on carpet.

Here you go. Dyson V7 obliterates this Shark on carpet.

Comments seem to indicate it may not have been a fair test.

Many comments from desperate Shark owners claimed the Floor mode setting the Shark was in was the wrong setting for carpet. But the user guide clearly states that Floor mode is the correct setting for thin pile carpet. So basically Shark owners lied to try to discredit the test. Sorry Shark owners, but this test was good and fair.
