Both are very good. The selling point for the shark is the duoclean head. The anti hair wrap works really well and the front soft roller means the shark happily pulls in and sucks up larger objects rather than push them around (e.g cheerio sized objects will not be picked up by the Vax brush head). The Vax has a flexible hose attachment which is super useful, no such attachment is available for the shark.
Thanks very much for the comparison, gives me a lot to think about. I do have issues with the old Vax that is just pushes some larger objects around or shoots them out the back. But in general does clean well, if the shark cleans similarly or better I suppose my only thoughts are around battery life of this Shark vs the Vax Blade 4?
edit: noticed this only comes with one batter which is a shame.

Oops looks like I lost out. Did do that process.
Depends what power you're running at, whether the powered head is attached, and whether it's in carpet or hard floor mode, anywhere between 10 minutes and an hour. The full power is extremely powerful, and I only really use for cleaning gravel out of our porch. I can do a proper deep clean of two bedrooms which uses a mix of all modes and have a bit of juice to spare. For a quick once over of the whole house on medium the battery life is sufficient - but we have mainly hard floor, if your house has a lot of carpet it might not stretch so far. We also have a robot vacuum that keeps general dust levels down so that really helps minimise the demand on the vacuum. We don't have a corded vacuum though, this does the job. The lack of short flex hose is really annoying though - shark used to do it as an accessory - I might have to make something.
I can confirm just vacuumed the house and 30% left on battery downstairs all hard floor and upstairs 2 rooms with carpets. Used max speed on stairs and one room. It's funny how it calculates % battery left as when was on max power setting showed 20% then I switched to 2nd mode and went up to 30%
It's a very good cleaner I have returned Black And Decker i posted some time ago as the stones were falling out of it after vacuuming no such a problem with this one everything stays in.
I think Dyson v15 is the best one but it's £500 so that's the best price to quality i think
60 min on lowest settings. I would say around 30 min in mixed use for me.
Isn't car detailing kit £20?
It’s £24.99 on the shark website
Ahh so you get it for free if you order only this weekend? I ordered yesterday
Might be worth a quick email to customer service see if they will honour it
I’ve literally just returned my Blade 4 pro animal today after buying it yesterday. It’s crap. It was a choice out of Vax, Dyson or Shark.
Decided against Shark because aesthetically they all look so awful and on looking through reviews, on average they appeared to have more negative reviews than the others. I have a 7 year old Dyson V6 already but I wanted a main hoover and thought cordless would of caught up these days with all of the promises of them now being as good as corded vacuums. So I bought the Blade 4 to replace my 5 year old Vax air pet corded. The blade 4 suction is terrible compared to my old corded. I feel sorry for these people that leave these reviews saying how good these products are. It only really picks anything up if you have it on boost but it literally lasts 10 minutes. My 7 year old Dyson V6 lasts the exact same amount of time but it’s twice as powerful. For something that’s 7 years older that’s shocking!
Anyway took it back to Argos today and bought another corded Vax Air pet. £60 cheaper and so, so much better
They said they will do a goodwill gesture thanks
Awesome game I could help
