Are these better than Dyson?

Absolutely. We have two long-haired dogs and had several Dysons over the years from a DC1 to a DC42.... have had a Shark for 18 months now and will never go back. Pickup is still excellent. Filter cleaning is a doddle. Double ended chamber emptying is far better. Lift-away is genuinely far more useful than I first thought. Even the 'headlights' are great (I've even added a small torch to the neck so I can still have lights when using just the hose).

The only thing I'd say is that the pet attachment isn't so great (basically just an air powered mini-brush head)... it's OK for stair & upholstery, but tends to clog easily & just isn't hugely effective. Just as easy to use the standard small upholstery head.

The reviews suggest so. People just throwing their Dyson's in the bin apperently

Bought this on Black Friday for £120 from Amazon. It’s good, different to my Dyson though. The lift away bit is really handy. Turns into a really light unit you can walk about with in your hand. Great for doing the car and walking up and down stairs.

My daughter rates them as the best vacuum they've ever had and not stupid money! Funny how they've suddenly taken off, American offshoot in Europe I believe. Shows if you get the design/pricing right you can edge the big boys out of their nich.
I have an NV800 - switched from Dyson in Sep 17. It was great initially but it's now pretty sh*gged. Despite changing the filters about every week - the pick up is pretty poor...

Also, as it's fairly light and doesn't have a ball like some Dysons, it's prone to falling over.

So my view is that it's better than Dyson, but not massively so.

It's been the same price on Amazon for a week or 2.

Or 99p cheaper in Currys where you will get some cashback.

Although cashback is never guaranteed, I've never had any trouble with payouts.

I didn't post this deal because it seems a pretty standard price

Same price on Amazon. Seems decent buy for the price. I never used the Shark vacuum before so might give it a try. Can anyone please let me know if this is better or the cordless version ??

Corded ones are usually more powerful so it depends of you mind being tethered of not. Also the corded models have a 5 year warranty whereas the cordless only 2

If you have a premium quidco account, you'll get 8%. If not TCB tracked my 7% on my standard account in an hour.
Thanks very much. There's a quite a few different ones on offer. Purchased. 7% TopCashback works and registers quickly
We own this vacuum and it is very powerful and good at cleaning.

One word of warning though. The suction is that strong that one day I was using it and the 'wand' section snapped. Meaning I had to get a refund and replacement. Bit disappointing seems to be a very minor flaw in an otherwise perfect product. That being said this vacuum is infinitely better than any overpriced Dyson junk out there if you actually want your vacuum to suck items off the floor.

It's pretty good to be fair. I have to detangle the hair say once a month. If you wanted to pay a bit more they do anti hair wrap version that supposedly doesn't need detangling.

Yes, according to the reviews, the cheaper one is the better model. I ordered mine yesterday and it says between 2-4 days. I'm guessing this is business days so I expect Wednesday to Friday.

Thanks for updating me. I have not ordered yet as need to get opinion from other half too but it looks good for the price
This or the newer duo clean model? I’ve been holding out for that one. My Dyson DCO4 is coming up for 17 years of service. Hate the new ball design things.
Ours arrived today and the wife gave it a spin. It is pretty decent compared to our tired old Dyson. £50 less than the Dyson we were going to get and £10 cashback tracked as well. Nice

Is it this model that you use for dog hairs? I have 2 Jack Russell which are moulting a lot right now and I need a good one
I bought one as a replacement for an ancient Dyson. The Shark works very well. The main issues are that the dust box fills quickly and that the filters need to be cleaned every 6 months. Performance drops off significantly if you don't look after it!
