Pay £80 more and get a brand new Dyson

Why would you want to pay more to get an inferior vac though?!

We had a Dyson, and then got one of these Shark's and it's so much better than the Dyson in every way possible that I'd not buy a Dyson again.

We've heavily used the Shark since buying it without much maintenance and it's still flawless and so much nicer to use. The Dyson has broken and the spare plastic part we need (it's a lug but is attached to the entire vacuum body, stopping the vacuum from standing up) costs almost as much as the Shark did!! More landfill now due to a bad design.

I've had one of these since a similar deal last year and its AMAZING. Such a thoughtful machine. I love that when it accidentally sucks up the edge of a mat, or a moronic cat's tail, the rollers switch off automatically.

When I first bought it, I noticed that the end of the vacuum created a strange dark cloud around it, I later realised that this was because its so powerful it literally sucks in light, effectively creating a mini-blackhole. Incredible.
How are people saying the filters are hard to find for this model?

Found them by searching "NV601UK filter" on Amazon, £7.99 for a two pack of both filters.

NV601 on Shark's official is £9.99 for a one pack of both filters.

I have had mine for last 3 months. Brilliant bit of kit. Just wash the filter out once a week. If not you will notice loss of suction.

This or the Duo-Clean?

Good question. Could really do with some insight on the differences between the two as I'm just about to buy and can't really spot anything significant? Not even sure which is the newer model. Can anyone help?
Guys I m really really confused between this one and the Shark Powered Lift-Away True Pet XL AX950UKT on AO for 179£ .. I'd be very thankful if someone can kindly share their experience/reviews on which one is better? I don't have pets but a busy household with kids.thanks
Tried a shark. Was just heavy and clumsy to use, didn't get the fuss

Good honest review here - Seems getting hold of filters for this model is difficult. Maybe better to go for the more popular duo clean from Currys???

It was the duo clean I tried lol
Thanks guys
it seems the filters are not easy to buy, and the tools are poor. i will look at getting the duo clean from currys or the dyson small ball that ive been looking at.
Hi, anyone got this ? Is it ok for pets as we have a dog, mixture of hard floor / carpet, imdeciding between this or the one on the shark site for £199 thats massively reduced

thanks

There are lots of reviews on previous HDUK threads on this and other models. As far as i can see, the duoclean has a different brush bar that allows larger articles (e.g. stones, bits of food) through rather than keep pushing them forwards and may be better for mixed hard/carpet flooring. This a non-powered lift away so when detached, so does not have a powered brush bar. The pet models have different attachments for pet hair (and the anti-wraparound also prevents hair, err, wrapping around!). The XL has a larger colleciton bin.

Re filters, there are usually options via either Amazon or eBay, but how often do they need to be actually replaced?

Always had Dysons- now have a shark and would never go back to Dyson !
I highly recommend lift away style vacuums. I bought a Bissell lift away in 2007. It is so handy for cleaning stairs and corners and does a far better job than traditional vacuums where you have to manover around the whole vacuums
Anyone else think of Zoolander here?

Thoughts on Vax blade 2 max?

Shark have specific pet models - I have one of their Duo-Clean pets and it's scary how much more hair it picked up versus my previous Henry or Dyson cleaners. This one doesn't look to be a pet specific model. Keep an eye out for a good deal on any of the NV801 or NZ801 models.
Shark Vs Dyson is almost as fierce a debate as Brexit.

i'm stuck between this and Gtech K9, but the system is not on offer.
Reviews so far are good, only one that keeps coming up is it is top heavy, can strain your arm

Stop it, it is still available. Perhaps you added it to your basket and you only have 15 mins before it reverts to normal price? Or perhaps it's only for Prime members?

I got one of these, it’s so much better than my dyson ever was. Was shocked how much cleaner my carpets look after using it.. actually more horrified than shocked tbh
Great deal!

This (£119) is the cheapest it has EVER been for new !

Thanks OP for this, I’ve bought it! It’s an awesome price and I’ve been waiting for a good deal and can’t imagine this price being beaten (for a while anyways)!
