Great Vacuum cleaner. I was looking on Dyson Dc41 to buy but all the reviews of people who have used both say that Shark is better.
Priced matched at Amazon but JL is better for 2 years guarantee.

I keep reading the same that people prefer the Shark to Dyson.

I was looking into a Dyson a few months back but bought a Shark when on offer. Fantastic vacuum, very powerful and the amount it picks up is unbelievable. Highly recommended

Heat.... I've got another Shark model, it's not the lightest vacuum but the best I've used. Washable filters too

What's difference between this at JL and the £143 offer at Costco? Does the true pet shark come with extra attachments??

I have just checked the shark website. The pet power brush costs £19.99. I think your better off buying it seperatly and going to Costco and buying this hoover for £143. I picked one up over the weekend. There were only a few left at Chadderton. However there were plenty of dysons in stock. I'm pleased with my purchase

Shark for me everytime, Dyson are good but overpriced, Shark is better and more reasonably prived (Still not cheap thouigh)

Hmm i need a new vacuum. Always had dysons in the past but might be time for a change. Think ill keep an eye on this over black friday, perhaps it might hit £150 or amazon might do another -20% on warehouse stock so it could go even lower as those are £150 now...

I don't have either brands as my main vacuum cleaner. My brother has a Dyson and my parents have the Shark. The Shark does weigh a lot more and is less manoeuvrable but it is way better at picking up dirt in my opinion.

Plus James Dyson is a self serving t*** so there's another bonus for buying Shark.

I'm gonna wait a bit more as I'm in no desperate need to replace my 5 year old Vax pet performance vacuum!

I have had various Dyson models over the years...all good machines!
When my last Dyson packed in I thought that I would try a Shark....it is by far the best vacuum cleaner that I have ever used.
Great suction...filters easy to clean....easy to empty....the "lift-away" feature is fantastic for moving around the house, getting under furniture and tables.
I could go on....so just get one...you will not regret it!!
Oh...and I am pretty sure they come with a five year guarantee!

Yep 5 years if registered on shark website. Best vacuum I've ever owned. I've got two of the ball dyson machines dc40 and dc50 which are both rubbish at suction compared to this.

So then, which is the best Shark model to go for?

...also, it's quite an ugly looking machine...more '90s QVC than 21st century tech!

Same price Curry's (may be Quidco or Topcashback too?) if you wanted it today, I am no fan of Curry's but I suppose it's the sort of product you would deal with the manufacturer and their 5 year warranty rather than having Curry's mess you around as they usually do!

I never heard of anyone buying a vacuum for it's aesthetic appeal - getting the muck out of the carpet is why I want one, then it goes back into the cupboard!

Yes that's why I am toying with buying a Shark as my very old Dyson DC14 is getting way past it's best, and the newer Dyson models have AWFUL reviews

...really? You think aesthetics don't apply??

If they do, it's last on the list if I was comparing two very alike products. Now if it was a Fridge or a Washing machine that was there every time I entered the kitchen, it might feature a good bit higher.

If there was an Apple vacuum cleaner I suppose SOME people would be queueing up to pay 1200 quid for one! :-(

Much better than a dyson have both. Was so disappointed with the dyson I bought. This is a great vacume.

From 119 in Argos deal on for few days bought mine today all I can say is WoW

Had 4 Dyson's in the past and just bought a Shark a few months ago and its much better than any Dyson we've ever had would never buy another Dyson

I'm converted - I will be investing in a shark rather than a dyson, reviews are very good. Don't care about its looks as long as it does a brilliant job
