A deal of the day over at Amazon. It’s still £229.99 at Currys. I have the previous Shark model without the duo clean and it is the best vacuum I have ever used.

This isn’t the True Pet but the only difference between the two is colour and the fact this doesn’t come with the pet power brush which can be bought separately for around £19.99.

The cordless version is also on offer for £209.99 with single battery amazon.co.uk/Sha…ean

I’m tempted to order as well and give my other one to my mum and dad who are after one. It’s £249.99 in Argos so a good saving compared to there. The cordless is a good price too.

Shark NV680UKT True Pet Vacuum Cleaner is the same price at £179.99
Is the main difference between the two of them the pet power brush or is there some other difference as well?

That’s the version I have minus the power brush as I got it in Costco for around £160. The differences are the 680 comes with a power brush which this one doesn’t. The 680 also has a dust away head with pad which I have never used. It’s for hard flooring to collect dust but this model comes with their latest duo clean which has an extra soft brush roller working alongside the main roller to remove even smaller particles and dust which means the dust away head isn’t really necessary. Search on YouTube etc for videos of the duo clean, you’ll see the difference.

Quite a few cold votes, just genuinely curious as to why? This is the latest duo clean model and I haven’t seen it cheaper unless anyone else knows of somewhere? The shark blows my previous £300+ Dyson out of the water but obviously that’s just my opinion. 5 year warranty also.

Currently have a Dyson that is falling to pieces and was looking for a replacement. Reading the reviews, it seems a lot of Dyson owners prefer the Shark. On my Dyson, I have replaced the hose at least 3 times over the years as they split or break from the base. Do any shark owners know if the hose is more sturdy. Another negative I see with the Shark is the dust bin is only 0.5L
Contemplating the 680 as I know I will use the power brush attachment however still undecided as the NV800 is newer.

So there is a

NV680UKT

Anyone know the actual differences between the 3?

The hose is quite strong in comparison to the Dyson I had which also needed to be replaced. The dust bin isn’t huge no but I’ve never had a problem as it’s so easy to take off and empty and it doesn’t spill all over the place in the process like my Dyson did, it compacts well and also doesn’t lose suction. I like how if certain objects are sucked up by mistake it goes in the top part of the dustbin so it’s separate from all the dust below. The headlights are fab too, it’s amazing what you see on the floor that you never used to. As for which model it really depends on your flooring. I would say if you are carpeted and have pets then the pet brush may be an advantage to you although I have rabbits which molt a lot and the regular attachments and main vacuum are more than good enough to lift it, same with my long hair lol. If you have a lot of hard flooring the 680 would be good but the duo clean brushes even better at lifting the finer crumbs and dust. Hope this helps.

Right. You might be ok, I just checked the shark website and this is where it gets confusing with their item codes. It says you get a free upgrade to the pet version so look at your order and if that’s the case you will get the pet turbo brush but it’s showing as £249.99. Even so with this deal if you wanted the pet version you can just buy the turbo brush separate at £19.99. The thing with Shark is that they can have items and codes specific to where you by them. The 680 I got in Costco has a different code at the end and comes in a different colour with different tools. Think they just like to confuse us.

Shark item numbers/codes can be confusing as they can vary slightly depending on where you buy. I’m 99% sure though that the 680UKT difference from the UK is that it comes with the pet turbo brush and may also be a different colour. With the 800UK you don’t have the turbo brush but it has the new duo clean technology, it basically means it has an extra roller brush head which acts alongside the main brush head to be able to pick up tiny particles from the floor. Search the product and look at the videos, you mustn’t be a night owl like me as the advert is on all the time then lol.

Just to throw this out there, you can get this model (NV800UK) from Shark Direct in either Navy or White with the pet brush for £249.99 and also choose a free gift, either the shark ninja coffee bar or the ninja chopper and blender.

And to possibly confuse things even further the older (680) model without duo clean and without pet brush is currently on offer in Costco until Sunday if you have membership. This is the one I have currently.

Ive ordered the NV800uk one for £179 as this deal this morning. I have been watching for a while and have done some research. Yes the UKT does come with the pet brush but the pet models i.e. all the ones with the T after UK have a smaller direct collection box and are not so friendly between differing surfaces such as carpets and wooden floors from what i understand. I have wood and carpet and understand the non-pet model better suits my requirements. I was going for the NV680uk but when i saw this price i couldnt resist on getting the newer version. Wasnt bothered what colour as at the end of the day its just to clean my floors.

Ordered thanks op

Owwww just ordered and then realised cordless is only £20 more what to do.. anyone got the cordless?

Wow, that’s come down by another tenner since I posted the link. That’s a bargain. I personally don’t like any cordless ones but I’ve heard this is good. Only one battery though and I think it lasts around 20 minutes so I guess it depends on your usage.

Amazing! Thank you - this makes its £169.99 and fingers crossed for £8.50 cashback too. (£161.49 total) glad I hung on for today, have been tempted by so many deals for the NV680UK, but even happier to get the NV800UK! :-)

PS - to all those asking, I understand the T on the end to stand for True Pet (so the pet version).

nv680uk is the older model no duo clean
nv680ukt t stands for true pet is the same but come with the motorised pet brush which to buy separately cost £20 from shark
nv800uk has the new duo clean but no pet brush

the best one is the nv800uk if you want the pet brush buy it separately its cheaper than buying the nv800ukt which come with the pet brush already included
