Just checking. I've looked at every smart tv deal going and I've lost the plot 😞

If I was looking to pounds per inch I’d be snapping this up. There was an LG posted on here a few days ago, 75” (which is the size I was looking for) at £849 from Currys (possible Richer Sounds may price match with 6 yr guarantee). I went for the 70” Philips Ambilight from Costco, posted on here a week or so ago (now expired) at £739. Went with it over the larger LG due to its 60Hz operating frequency.

Let’s face it, if you buy this and in 6 months decide you want an OLED or an 8K (or when they drop in price), you’ve only got £200 invested.

If you want to go bigger, there’s a 65” Logik at Currys that someone has posted recently at only £399.

This is beyond a budget tv. No one is going to make the jump from this to an OLED (let alone 8k!) screen in 6 months if they care about what they need unless they come into a serious amount of money real quick.

This tv is promoted for its price not its picture quality/features. What you’re talking about is apples and oranges
Do you know what the model no. is on these?
Bought one today. Looks/works perfectly fine. A bargain at £200
Any good for gaming?

Only going to use it in the bedroom for PS4, Xbox and watching movies/tv series on the Firestick/Netflix

Hence the very important inclusion in my comment ‘Or when they drop in price”. What exactly do you consider to be the definition of ‘beyond a budget TV’? It receives a signal, shows a picture and a 4k resolution one at that. I don’t see it pretending to be something it isn’t and certainly not apples and oranges.
To be absolutely clear, if further clarification should be needed, I have at no point stated that it is promoted for its quality/features, as a budget 8k will not be once something better is available. My comments as a whole are clearly stating that this is a TV which is marketed on the basis of low cost (I recall even using the phrase pounds per inch).
To summarise; this seems to be a great deal for a cheap 4k TV, if you are looking for a 4k TV.
I hope this is clear enough for you.
For £200 I’m very happy with the quality. If you want to see each individual strand of hair look elsewhere

Lol alright calm down mate.
Or when they drop in price will be a few years from now, not a few months haha

Good luck finding your OLED 8k for £200 in 6 months time lol

I don’t need to, you sounded like you needed clarification, bit that doesn’t make me angry in the slightest. Additionally, you’re sounding very much like another adolescent troll. General pointless and unhelpful comments, more intent on debunking someone else’s posts on the basis of a self proclaimed know-it-all status based upon no fact whatsoever.

“General pointless and unhelpful comments”?
You’re replying to Kayleys who needed help, talking about a 75” tv for £849 for this 40” deal (pointless and unhelpful)
And talking nonsense about them buying OLEDs (which are over £1000) and 8K’s (which are over £2500) in 6 months time for this 40” deal of £199, again pointless and unhelpful.
If any thing, you’re the troll friend.

Don’t forget to post your 8k OLED for £200 as a deal next year mate, I’ll be waiting

Unfortunately this is still just pointless nonsense and fixated generalisations. Don’t worry though, the angst will be a phase you’ll ultimately grow out of.

Ok boomer
Another £50 off would be a much better deal.

This is John Connor, If you are reading this you are the resistance!
I've got the £199 40in Hisense from Argos. Just saw stacks of this one in Gallions Reach. Should I pick one up and return the Hisense? This is 4k UHD, Hisense isn't.

More than adequate for my requirements as a bedroom TV for Sky and Netflix. Not a gamer so not tried. Although it seems to be Better than my son’s budget LG which was 32” and slightly more expensive, which he uses for PS4. Worth a go at this price I think.

Thank you for letting me know mate, I had the choice between this and a Toshiba 40" FHD TV for £229, and thought for a cheaper price and 4K, this would be a great TV for the PS5 coming this year.

Does it have any dynamic motion (soap opera effect) on it? And if so can you turn this off.

I don’t think so it’s fairly basic.

Last question I promise but has the TV ever turned itself off at all? As some people complain about Sharp 4K units doing that.

Nope! Fingers crossed for now! My hisense did but it was covered by warranty and fixed.
