Good price. I've been unlucky with AE so never buying from there again. Heat though as others have had better luck
2650mAh battery seems small, but for £70 you can't grumble, if you're looking for a huge battery look at the redmi 8 etc. heat added

Excellent phone for the money. Watch Volokin Project review on YouTube, he explains what’s the difference between the S2 and the C10 quite well.

I echo that sentiment never buying from ae ever again worst store ever appalling(read as in non existant) customer service, full of dishonest sellers and throw away products.

Great price, maybe a bit too good to be true.

I think this seller was suspended before Christmas on HUKD but looks like both parties came to a resolution.

Cheers @MrSwitch ! I agree with you. Not a big battery however, having the fast charge option helps a bit

Completely, kind of wipes out the need for a massive battery when you have fast charging, especially with something like VOOC charge.

I got one of these from Banggood 18 months ago for £139 (insured against import charges). It had a fault from the beginning - it would overheat whilst making calls and drop them, but by the time I understood how to reproduce the fault properly I couldn't complain about it. Other than that, it worked well until I dropped it in the loo...

One thing to note is lack of Android 9.

I buy a lot from AE and yes, it's full of fake/substandard products but I have always been able to come to an arrangement when this happens. Maybe I'm happy because I enjoy the challenge of getting things not quite up to scratch to work.

yep, android 9 would be a nice touch....

Bought one of these from a similar AE seller a month or two ago. Was very clearly a fake.
If it had ambilight..... It would be a no brainer buy

oh, did you get a full refund? What happened ?
To be absolutely clear, was a completely different seller to your deal here. Might well be a great find.

I received a refund on mine in the end, but it was an awful experience - seller seemed to be playing games, going as far as to ask me to take screenshots of benchmarks and take videos of the phone to back up my claim. Scared me off AE, unsurprisingly.

I realise that a lot of people have good experiences and snag some great bargains from Chinese sellers, so YMMV as ever.

Thanks, I got it. Good to hear that you got your money back at least. Your case could be an example to see how important to have a look on the seller's rating and feedback... Did you check those when you bought it?

On the screenshot in OP it shows as 3200mAh battery

Yep, that must be an error. Most likely it has a lower capacity battery - 2700mAh

I had the aquos S2 was a great phone for the price! Use it as a spare phone now! Still going strong!

Bought one the other month. Equal parts brilliant and frustrating. Camera good but erratic, battery not bad but the standby time for it is hopeless. Good value for the money, but don't expect something worldbeating. If you need NFC fine but the Korean lgg6 can be had for a similar price, if not go for the gome u9.
Super hot. NFC and quick charge alone makes it a stellar deal.
Thanks for this. Screen on current phone has just broke and looks like a decent value replacement.

A Blu Vivo 6, which was fine. Plenty of storage. I cracked the screen a while ago and attempted a screen replacement last night. Unfortunately something went wrong and I found myself searching for a replacement. Handy to have this post pointing out a good value replacement.

It's always good HUKD points me towards something I actually need, rather than encouraging me to buy something I now want because it's a bargain!

Thanks for posting the deal.

you're welcome! these two phones look very similar and probably you will have an overall ~40% increase in performance due to the SOC upgrade.
i know not everyone does, but i got hit by £20 customs (well £10 was RM handling fee) on my £95 Redmi 8 from AliExpress.
Not the end of the world, but worth factoring in.

I've just looked at the battery from my dunked version, and it's 2930mAh.
I got my dad the older S2 model from joybuy in a deal posted on here a couple years ago. Good phone but very little support.

Cool, still not great but better
I remember people on the original thread foaming at the mouth about the camera notch and chamfered corners, rather than seeing the bit around the camera as extra display, which is what it is. Someone even tried to make the analogy of a television set with a lump cut out of the screen.
Oh and also, mine came with a Sharp-branded 5V 2A flat pin charger, so I'd be surprised if you'd get an 18W charger with this.
By the way, it's gone up in price by a shocking 0.8% - I blame Donald Trump.

Oh yeah, what I see nowadays, they save money on the chargers. So the phone is capable of quick charge or fast charge but you need to buy that charger separately

Not necessarily a bad thing if the charging régimes are standardlsed...
My last AE experience didn't go well. Is it worth spending a few extra pennies and getting it from GB or BG?

Sure, if you can find it in GB for a few extra pennies - I'm not sure why Banggood would be any better.
