Good price

What are the odds of this arriving, from France and delivered by Yodel, in on piece?
I probably have better odds at running the National today and winning. Considering I'm about 400 miles from the course and it starts in 30 mins. I'd say no chance.

bought one for the kids bedroom, thanks

Why Don't you wall mount it and you will never have to wallpaper or paint that wall ever again!

I first read the part number as OBSOLETE. Damn these eyes!

...that people still post Pixmania 'deals'.

This is a reasonably hot deal. Sharp make decent TV's and use their own Panels for their larger TV's that rival Plasma's for contrast ratio/blacks.

They've now sold their EU TV business to UMC so starting soon they'll all be re-badge jobs about the same quality as a Vestel, cheap and nasty with a premium badge.

These are some of the last few Sharp made TV's being sold in Europe.

ha ha... right on... it does'

as with all pixmania products, has a foreign socket. missing hardware needed in the u.k to receive HD channels.
this sites cheap for a reason. deal was probably posted for a quick lol, but I warn against further browsing this site and ordering anything.

Who honestly spends £3K on a tv? An HD projector and screen with surround sound would only set you back at least £700-£1300 for decent to great. Mine works in daylight too with an 84 inch screen and 7.1 surround all for £899. £3k? lolz

Honestly a ridiculous TV size at a ridiculously expensive price. Everyone here seems to think it isn't too big. I guess my opinion comes from the fact I only buy things not really for a luxury but just suitability.

Thanks OP, this is perfect. Got one for the spare room on top of the garage!

Spent £3k on my Panny 65VT50 and £3k on my Pioneer LX5090 before that, both well worth the money in my eyes. Also have a projector and 7.1 system which cost well in excess of £10k but again I think it was money well spent. Horses for Courses, depends what your budget is and what sort of quality you're after.

Cheers ordered. Going to use it as a Sat Nav in the car.

The only problem with this TV is it's a Sharp.

My room needs a 70"+ size screen. My current 52" is way too small for the viewing distance. Its a Sharp - with full LED backlight - the highest model at the time and has an amazing contrast ratio giving true blacks due to individual LED control of the backlight.

What a load of ****

Thanks ordered one to go in the bathroom

sharp + pixmania? unmatchable combination....
lol...

Big & ugly

This was in Costco with a free 5 year guarantee at a similar price. I think they sell a Samsung or LG 79" set now - again just under £3k but with guarantee.

Cheers. Ordered one to use as a mirror

Spent almost £4K on a first generation Hitachi plasma around 12 years ago and now it's worth 40 quid if I'm lucky. Have learnt my lesson and spent my hard earned money on these.

Doesn't something this size need to be 4K ..?

Pixmainia, enough said, avoid !

hot, been looking at this for a while never seen it so cheap. Although I don't know anything about pixmania and the comments aren't very positive. If you have the right sized / shape room though its perfect.

only if your sat closer 3 metres to it, which if you room fits can take an 80" TV i doubt you will be.

I bet you've got one if these in your Aston?

Just bought a dozen of these to use as a fence round my front yard and another 2 as gates from the driveway. Thanks for posting.

Ok for the caravan!

Got the 70 inch sharp from Costco a few years ago, still going strong. The 'smart' functions though are so bad as to be laughable. Picture quality is pretty good though.

It's unclear as to what this has reception wise, as it states one analogue and digital tuner but then lists DVB-S2 and DVB-T2.
It's a shame the biggest variants of sets rarely get reviewed.

quidco with a code , doubt it
