Actual store price is £199 but I have included the VAT inclusive price in the title. We had been looking for a decent quality lcd for the bedroom for a while and spotted this at Makros today. If you are a real fusspot over image quality and decent specs (like me) then this is a good price.

This is a great quality set with really good reviews...reevoo gives it 9 out of 10 from 24 reviews. The next best price I could find online was £249 at Richer Sounds but the average selling price is more like £300 in the big electrical stores...Amazon are currently selling for a shocking £370!

Obviously only a good deal if you are able to shop at Makros or know someone who is a member...there were a lot available today instore at Rayleigh and AFAIK this is countrywide as it is in the current issue of Makro Mail.

Got this for £300 in February. Does it's job ok, but I wish I had gone with a widescreen monitor now instead of insisting on a screen with 720p native res for the 360, PS3 and PC, though since I was and still am constrained to 20" at most due to lack of space it was the best option it seemed at the time (jammed 1/2" apart either side from 2 bookcases!).

My main gripe would be the horrific contrast, real pain in the backside to get it to something resembling black without also overdoing the contrast, even my vp930 lcd with its lower rated contrast has hugely better blacks. If anyone wants my 360/PS3 settings I can post them, since the PC settings might vary depending on any colour adjustments made in your driver software.
