This.

Would need to move to a bigger house for this TV. Any HUKD on bigger houses?

you can also use this as a bed...

Sounds great, BUT if you're in the market for something like this wouldn't you be better off waiting for some 4k sets to become available? Or is this why 1080p sets have been coming down in price lately?

Great TV for the money ... these are still retailing at over £3000 elsewhere
My cost price isn't much of this

Technically you'd need to go to the 80" for bed use ... just saying lol

Smallest 4k tv is currently 84".... This is a 70", which 1080p is perfect for... And there's pretty my no 4000 res. media yet, so it's a very different thing IMO

But that's not likely to remain the situation for long. Therefore, if buying an oversized TV, you might as well get one that's a bit more future-proof, no?

The only way 4k media will come out is if 4k TV's start being produced. But you could say it also applies the other way around.

That's a great price compared to the other places. Hot.

in my living room i'd be 5 feet away...is that far enough? gaming on this beast would be immense! Hot deal...just out very far away from my price range

This is also £2499.00 with a 5 Year warranty direct from the Sharp Affinity shop if you have access to it.

looks like you need an extension if you buy this beast http://mail.yimg.com/ok/u/assets/img/emoticons/emo12.gif

probably not wise to get a Sharp LED tv at this size... but im sure its a great price for the size.

if you have this money to burn on a tele consider the panasonic 65inch ST50 for around £2000. i really doubt the sharp is as good as the panny.

2.5 metres. I've just looked where I am in relation to my current 42" and I'm about that far away. That a starting point. "here a minute love, come and look at this" X)

Sorry, off-topic but there are some Full HD projectors with good reviews at £1,000 to £1,200. I have no experience of them, but if you just want high quality 2D plus big image how would they compare?

This information only applies to standard definition material; HD material requires you to sit much closer to be able to view the extra detail properly. For this size TV viewing 1080p it will approximately 8-feet. Have a look HERE

Every time I have ordered a new TV I have had to go thro a process of arguing , justifying , mood swings , silences then finally I press the button , she calms down after a few days and sits there pleasantly watching it !

Ordered one for the bedroom thanks OP great

wow this is huge amazing how the difference in size from 50+ goes beyond prices imaginable

Bike? ya mean Mary M

Well as a prostitute, I guess she was a bike by definition.

I'll not be buying another Sharp Aquos TV . The image persistence on mine has put me off that and the horrible growing leakage / clouding on my LC42xd1e is appalling for a 5 year old set. I paid £1899 for it and has had problems for the last 3.5 years. I only got a 1yr warranty from retailer. At the time this was one of the best TVs available, well to suit my needs it was. I choose it mainly as not many at that time were doing 1:1 pixel mapping.

Very very good. I'd go for a projector any day, given the room. Much more cost effective (my 92" setup including installation and speakers etc cost under £1500) and it all hides away at the end of the day so it doesn't overwhelm the room. I can also, should I decide, upgrade to a bigger screen for very little cost (120" would be under £200)

I've ordered two for the bedroom, his and hers

Purchased. I'm such an ****. I don't even watch TV.

Playing games on one is of these is pretty good I guess, HOT!!!

I'd pay that for a glasses-free 3D TV Currently retailing at around £6,000+

how many watts of power does it use?

Worth seeing if anyone you know gets the discount voucher schemes, that can be 7% off Currys saving another £170 or so.

I must say I'm pretty tempted to get one for the dungeon.
