Featured on HUKD one year ago for £99 so about half price I'd suggest.

2.1 not worth the bother! Now I have the Philips soundbar 5.1 with dab radio and DVD player now that what I call true sound!!!!!

Try a JBL sb400 and ya might just change your mind.

Only one kind of sound bars that come close to 5.1 and it ain't a Phillips !! Try Yamaha

Are you being serious? A Soundbar is a soundbar, if you want "true sound" you would invest in a home cinema system.

poor connectivity so probably priced right.

Good for the price. Heat

Probably better than TV speakers but very very poor connectivity. No HDMI or optical inputs. I'd say it's worth what it is selling for.

If it was me, I'd put an extra £30 and get the Ruth's Subzero instead as a budget option

Had one of these a couple of years ago and whilst they are better than the TV speakers they're still nothing special soundwise, probably about the same as your older built in CRT TV speakers. It is slim, easy to fit and doesn't look too bad, but it can be a bit awkward to get the volume level correct at times.

Watch out for LG TV's as I've never come across one with a traditional headphone/speaker output connector.
Got the Roth one the other week and works fine with it's optical input.

Test

I wouldn't rush into buying one of these. Which? score it at 56%.

It scores mainly on power and ease of use but you want the sound to be goof and isn't.

*good
