Seen that comment before.

Now find a 4K TV for this price.

Also, 4K is only worth it if the source input is 4K as well. Yes the upscaling it could do from HD 1080i/p would also factor, but if you are only using the tv for the smart side (kids ) then they won't give 2 hoots

Thanks ordered for the 13 year old x
I bought this tv and everything about it is telling me it’s 1080. The tv info screen says 1080p 60hz. I can watch YouTube vids in 1080. My PS4 says it’s outputting 1080. But the paperwork says 720. Hmmmm
ifnthia really is 1080, im buying anothe one tomorrow. Looks great and the built in speakers are superb.
I'm really interested in this tv I think I will be ordering one to night. Would love to know if it's a full HD but at £169 it's still a cracking price

I contacted SHARP regarding this as different websites state different specs.

Sharp replied ‘That model of TV is 1080p’.

No reviews on curry’s. I’m tempted. Is it good?

Hi, I've looked on the official sharp website and it says i5330 series ( which it is) is only hd ready and so am totally confused!

Any chance you could post the full transcript regarding you asking sharp.

I was going to get one of these on Friday but have put it off as heard of the Aldi deal ( medion 32 inch smart TV 1080p 3yr warranty 179.99, but this week reducing to £129.99 )

I would still prefer the sharp for 169.99 with Harman cardon sound system if it was a 1080p ..........

The question was submitted via an online form but here goes: (removed personal details)

Hello, can you confirm whether the model LC32HI5332KF TV is 1080p?

I have had a look on curry’s/pc world website and they seem to think it’s 720p but other sites claim 1080p, can you confirm which this is?

Kind regards,

Their reply:

Good Afternoon,

That model of TV is 1080p

Kind Regards
Louis H

Thanks for that as it's FULL HD

Okay I'm going to order 1 now and have the delivery scheduled for after cyber Monday so could always cancel it if a better deal pops up 😁.

For some reason though I still don’t trust them that it’s full 1080p...

I know what you mean. Anyway I've ordered 1 and will see what it's like.....
720 NOT FULL HD. i would not buy it, considering i could get a FULL HD for more or lesss the same price... or even 4K if you can afford to spend a bit more,,, cold from me tbh !
I can confirm that the tv is 1080p as I ordered one last night and it arrived literally an hour ago

Really, that's excellent news thanks for posting this very important info.
The picture quality of the tv is amazing, however, the AppStore is pretty much pointless as it barely works, for movies and games it is okay. Netflix, YouTube and other integrated apps work perfectly
Also the browser is pretty annoying to use but works nonetheless.
Just had delivery notification that mine is getting delivered today, can't wait to see if mi e is 1080p as well.

Does it have amazon video?
What is motion like on films where the camera pans? Is it smooth? Says it only has 50hz.
What about black levels? Any back light bleed on the edges or corners when watching dark scenes in a dark room?

Not sure your looking in the right price range ( under £200) sound's like your looking for a Samsung £350+ TV for the price of a cheapy TV......

Is the sound good?
Okay an update....
Tv has turned up and I stopped painting and set the TV up as I couldn't resist 😁.

What an absolute bargain..... I can confirm that the one that I have has 1080p FULL HD, superb picture quality, sound if flipping amazing for such a small TV and even down to the menu ect and black graphite bezel.....

I bought it through tcb and used my American express cashback card so will end up only costing about £160 😁😁😁😁
How can you actually confirm that this is 1080P full HD?

Also, is the OS based on android?
Mine arrived today too. The OSD displays the video mode every time the resolution or refresh rate is changed. It shows 1080p when you switch to a 1080p input.
Also, my old TV was 720p and it’s noticeably higher resolution on menu screens.

i don’t think the OS is based on android
Isnt that just the source resolution rather than the screen?
Received this TV today.

It 100% looks much better than 720p, but I am not sure how I can tell if it is 1080p. If anyone has any ideas I'm happy to check them out, but right now it looks better than my 49" LG that's in the living room. Fantastic TV.

Just found this link:

That may tell us for sure. I just had a go on the TV in Curry's and was playing around with the settings. One input had 1080p displayed in the bottom left corner but another had a 4k resolution displayed, presumably from a feed for their 4k TVs. This had me doubting whether this is 1080p, would love to know for sure though as I would buy one.

To my eyes the picture quality wasn't as good as similar TV's around it...

But how much were the similar TVs around it?! Were they as cheap as this one?
Ok, having played around with the video calibration setting of Kodi on my raspberry pi, I now think the resolution is 1366x768p. At that setting, adjusting the calibration settings shifts the image by individual pixels. Still a really nice tv though

I did the same, the Sharp was next to a Samsung which was £249. There was a huge difference in the picture quality.

Granted, no they weren't. Still a good TV for the money, just doubted it was 1080p.
I suspect that it is just stating the input resolution as the other poster notes. To be honest, on a 32” TV, I don’t think you would notice the difference unless you are using it as a PC / gaming monitor and sitting quite close. My wife still watches SD on the 55” and says she can’t tell the difference to HD.
