Sharp LC32LE210E - 32" Full HD 1080p LED LCD TV - Half Price - £299.99 @ Argos

I got an email from Argos about an hour ago about a five day technology sale starting today and ending on the 19th of April. This was the best value looking product included in the sale. I searched online and am pretty sure this is the best price for the TV. The RRP of £599.99 is too steep, but I can't find this TV new anywhere near this price. There are a couple of refurbished ones on ebay from £336. This TV has previously been on sale at Argos for £379.99.

Oh I just voted cold and then read the LED bit, how do I un-cold and vote hot?

Mate some people vote cold for really stupid reasons like "its only a 32" you can get a 42 plasma for this price. Usually the hot page is full of food maybe we should change it to hotukmeals.com

I don't know how great a deal it is really, I just searched HUKD and found what appears to be a superior model for £319.99 at Argos with a an even larger price drop percentage. It appears to have been on offer for some weeks now too, that deal only got 18 degrees of heat. But there was limited stock from what I can gather from the thread. This TV appears to be abundantly available. Cannot see this one fairing any better, it might end up getting pretty cold.

Lol. I like it.

Very true though, I really cannot see what people find so difficult to comprehend about the voting system.

Are you sure it's this exact TV that is going on sale at Makro? Where did you find out about it, I searched online and couldn't see anything about it. Sounds like a good deal if true...

heat added

A couple of pointers for all the Samsung/Sony fanatics who are probably voting this cold:
- Sharp are the no.1 LCD TV brand in Japan
- Sharp supply LCD panels to Sony

Actually in the Far east as a whole Sharp are at the top end of the LCD market. In the early days they were well ahead of the pack in the UK aswell. Unfortunately in recent years they seem to have decided their western markets aren't worthy of their top end products and seem to compete in the price concious sector. While the sets they release in the Far Eastern markets receive critical acclaim

Looks a good price, but the last sharp tv, went after less than 18 months, so will not trust another one, my trusted toshiba has been running every day for the last 5 years.

By JURO OSAWA

Sharp, Japan's top LCD television maker, produced more than 10 million LCD TV sets in the fiscal year that ended last month. This year's output will be "significantly higher," said Executive Vice President Masafumi Matsumoto at a press conference.

Strong demand for TVs is driving up LCD panel prices, encouraging suppliers like Sharp to produce more. Sharp is considering bringing its large LCD panel plant in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, to full-capacity operation earlier than October as initially planned.

Sharp not only makes TVs under its own brand, but also supplies panels to other makers.
