Why, will it produce different results?

OOS. None in stock anywhere for collection; none available for delivery either.

don't waste your money if this is for a child/teen in school/collage. they will need a Casio fx98 as all the exam boards and schools are built around them

othen

Why, will it produce different results?

no but the teacher can show them how to use the functions etc

Are you sure? That appears to be a vintage model.

I used to always lose my scientific calculators. Must've bought about 6 of them through my secondary school career. Would've saved a few bob having them at this price!

I hope not!

Worst case scenario - the battery on this calculator stops working in the exam. The school give a casio one (used in class) to your child and they are not very familiar with it. They lose marks as they don't know how to use it properly and potentially miss out on their target grade.

No wonder all the kids no a days leave school with all these exam passes, when I was at school you had to work it out on paper

I must say that from experience the Casio ones are much better for kids. Reason being you can literally type an equation in how it looks.

I'm not hating on the deal though haha I've given some heat!

Holy Mary, you don't know a person who knows GCSE maths and beyond quite well can use any calculator (tool)?

Why do you feel compelled to use language which some will find offensive - there's simply no need.

Are you one of those who takes offence on behalf of every one on the planet? Jesus, let them speak for themselves, for God's sake. Motto, let others speak for themselves.

I don't take offence but I also try not to offend others, even if I don't share their beliefs, etc.

Carry on if you must - show the world what a boor you are.

How do you know they are offended? Did someone tell you just now? OK, no need to answer me, I guess you might be a person who may want to win every point and have the last say. I am out.

It's the same on this one, and most recent Sharp calculators.

I bought this as a replacement for an older Sharp EL-531VH calculator, it was the cheapest in Argos but not this cheap.
The buttons on this are sharper and more square so they're not as 'nice' to press but after a bit of getting used to it does the job. It has more functions on it than the older model, but way more than you'll need for A level maths.

rofl!

no but sometimes functions are hard to find easily and if you have the same calculator it's easier to follow how to do some more complex processes rather than getting out the 50 page manual to try and understand how to do something.

Grandchild wants an iPad? This is near enough.

Do you know what a "boob" is?

Would usually choose Solar Powered but can't knock it at all for £2.29. Hot from me.
Stock available to reserve at my local Argos in Dereham.

Casio is most common place in schools and colleges I have worked and we have a virtual one on the board so that the students can see exactly what to press. In saying that, this is a great price for the calculator and student should cope fine with the minor differences.

Yep, that Casio has been on the 'things you need to buy' list over the last decade, when my kids started senior school.

Holy Mary offensive ? X)
Only someone sad enough to pick up on grammatical errors could think that was offensive.
Sad **** .

Isn't that a 1st generation Nokia mobile? Bloody Chinese imports!

I used Sharp right through school upto Alevel and was fine but things have probably changed if Casio ones are recommended now as its been well over a decade since I left.
