You don't get 60 inches during sex!

You might get 4 inches 15 times though.

Regarding the 60" model, the LC-60UI9362K is a better model and often on offer at Costco who also have a 5 year warranty and 90 day return (not currently on offer is £450 when it is).

Same with the 70" model but I haven't noticed if Costco discount that one.

Imagine using the in-built speakers on a modern TV. I'd happily save £20 and buy a TV with none. And don't get me started on "smart" features.

I wish they had something like this when I bought our new tele. I have a 32in Sharp which I bought over a decade ago. It’s done 3 house moves, been put in my man cave, now spare bedroom tv - these things are bulletproof.

These are very different beasts now, not the Sharp of old.

UMC who make these TVs (in Poland) also make Akai, Alba, Blaupunkt, Bush, Goodmans, JMB, Logix, Technika and Tevion TVs so very much the budget end.

Never had any Sharp tvs...

Can someone comment on their image quality? i.e. is it sharp enough?
Personally I wouldn’t buy another Sharp tv. My daughter bought me one for Xmas 2018, damn thing keeps freezing up or switching itself off. Sharp sent me an update to download but it didn’t cure it's problems. Contacted them again and they just keep sending the same update to download.
@NeoTrix Next best price more likely is £483,55 which equals 9% discount instead of 17%, isn't it?

I bought a Sharp TV for my daughter. The spec looked decent and was much cheaper than the LG equivalent. It was nothing but trouble and had to be sent back to UMC for repair. I certainly wouldn’t consider buying another. Spend the extra money and buy something more reliable.

Well we have one in our bedroom that switches itself on at midnight every Saturday and yes I have checked that the timers are off, never touch one of these again I’m afraid
Currently have a Sharp Aquos in my front room which i bought following some recommendations. I’ve had it for about a year now, however I’m gonna get rid of it as it’s been abit of a letdown...
The picture quality is very good, but I’ve had a frustrating time with it - intermittent delays in responding to controls (turn volume up or down & it takes about 4 seconds to respond, it also takes quite a while to boot upon startup, etc.)
But here’s the worst issue - we had a power cut about 5 months ago which lasted about 5 mins. When the power came back on, the standby light was on but the TV wouldn’t turn on or respond to remote or onboard controls. Replaced remote batteries, tried lots of different ‘fixes’ found online - nothing worked.
Thinking it was ‘dead’, I left it unplugged for about 4 days ready to sell as spares or to bin it, and it eventually turned back on when I randomly tried it again.
I had another powercut a couple of days ago (the joys of living in the country, and it’s happened again!
Cannot be bothered to go through the hassle! Switching to a Samsung. Will not buy another Sharp again, and wouldn’t recommend it.

I have a 32" sharp in the spare room which rarely gets used. Its rubbish, picture is poor, remote is horrendous (you can't use another remote with it as it's not infrared, it uses some form of Bluetooth so you need it for the volume) we paid £100 new and I still feel ripped off
Anyone know good deal for 32inch full hd smart tv at the minute? Netflix app is a must

Buy any 32" TV you like and get a Chromecast for Netflix etc... then you're not caught out when the smart features stop being supported in the future.
