if you don't have a morrisons, these are 3 for £3 at Tesco & Sainsbury's

I'll vote hot for everything apart from the sauces, as I find them very artificial tasting, this is comparing them to other ranges, not a restaurant.

Which ranges do you prefer ?

Every store seems to have these on offer at a pound, same at ASDA too.

What other sauces do you think are better?

I can see what you mean about the taste, i dont complain as the price is reasonable but would love to know which ranges taste the best.

Does this include the biriyani sauces?

I found the 1/2 price homepride curry sauce at Asda really nice, it is a good base as we also add spices to a homemade curry. I do not like Sharwoods popadums but that is my personal taste.
Head added for price.

The prawn crackers are brilliant. I don't use the sauces but all you need to do is add some cumin powder and ginger, maybe garlic and some chilli to enhance the flavours. All you do is collect a few of the small jars of spices. Works a treat for me.

Heat. Lloyd Grossman sauces and Sharwoods are my faves - and the former's pasta sauces are also delicious

I like Lloyds but don't like the Sharwood sauces at all, still £1 is a good price if you like the product

Good deal!
Every night is a curry night!:3

It has to be Lloyd for a quid, when the deal is on I always stock up.

79p each for the sauces at Pound Stretcher.

Thank you and goodnight.

It might be too hot for some people but Pattak's Madras sauce in the can (not the one in glass jar) used to do it for me.

However I actually make my own after getting a Bengali friend to show me his recipe for lamb "staff" curry. If you cook regularly at home, it is much cheaper to buy the raw spices from your local Asian shop although some Tesco stores are now stocking ethnic foods.

I find Sharwoods better than most other brands
