Check the found by dates numb nuts

Well it shouldn't have made it to this page, for being 1p cheaper than the one which was made hot before it.

A 1p saving isn't worthy of a place here in my opinion...numb nuts.

Why not? It was spotted way before the HMV deal and it's still cheaper by 1p. There's no sense to your logic

Where have been?

my fave movie

Something that troubles me, are movies that were made before blu ray came along any better on blu ray? Surely you've only got the original cap that the dvds were made from, I am a little lost as to how they could make it better? I understand new movies would get a higher quality transfer to blu ray tho.

The actual movies are recorded on film, so pixels don't really come into play. It's when they are converted and compressed after the movie was shot does it determine the quality. So theoretically you could take a really old movie and transfer it to beyond blu ray quality (more than 1080p). The PQ depends on the quality of film roll/camera etc used to film it, as well as the transfer to blu ray procedure (it's not uncommon to see a fairly new movie look crap on blu ray). So many factors!

Thanks, I wasn't being snarky or sarcastic, I geniuinely didn't know, kinda assumed they wouldn't still have original reels around of say, 1950s movies to convert to blu ray is all!

Having said that, surely, go back far enough and the quality of the original tech isn't going to stand up to a move to blu ray...makes me wonder is that cult sci fi 'Metropolis' on blu ray yet?

Nooo you didn't come across snarky or sarcastic at all mate lol my apologies if I gave the impression that you may have! You're right though about the older tech not really comparing to what is being used now, but some older movies if converted to blu ray completely outshine the DVD version (an example being Goodfellas).

The problem isn't your fault, and I see you're aggrieved that your deal didn't get recognized by the deals page first, as it was posted first, but when the same item is already on the main deals page for 1p more, I think it's absolutely pointless to put the £X.98 Amazon deal a few deals above.
