Ta. Just treated myself to one. Very heavy. No instructions though and I don't want to force anything so how do you retract the lead and how do you replace the lead? I can propel it out but thats all! X)

Poor action, chunky barrel, too top heavy. Personal preference are for 0.3's, 0.7 just provide a poor line.

Not for me, regardless of reduction.

Might have to treat myself to one of these - Thanks

If it's the same as a similar model I have, where you press and release to propel the lead, then press but don't release, and push the lead back in by hand (I actually rest the lead tip on the paper and press the pencil down).

Thats how they normally work but this works another way. The body is in two parts (top barrel/bottom barrel) that can be revolved relative to each other. They can be actively turned only one way. When actively turning the lead is pushed out. Stop turning and release and the parts realign to one another under spring tension. At no point can I push the lead back in during this active/passive turning. And afaics thats the total range of movements. Of course there must be some more otherwise the body is unopenable for refils so i'm guessing there is another push/pull/twist movement available but don't want to bust it trying to get it to do something it can't.

AH I GOT IT: Right at the end of the range under active turning go a little further and there is a small click.(a click i thought meant I'd gone beyond end of range doh ) turn past the click and in that range the lead can be forced easily back.

Still don't know how to open it for refills tho.
