Shell £2 off fuel via Shell Go+ app

Posted 8th Oct
Shell are offering £2 off fuel via their app. Just download the app and create an account the credit should be added to your account within an hour. Minimum spend £10

Now I know the comments will be littered with people saying that they can fill up cheaper with supermarket fuel but this is of use if Shell is your closest fill up. In some cases driving the extra few miles for cheaper fuel cancels out the saving.

This can be used multiple times using different email addresses.

Those schemes are waste of time. BP gives 1 point every 2 liters and its hidden deep on their website not on leaflets.. I scrapped shell as well. don't bother any more
Spend £100 get £2 off?
Tesco 1.239
Shell 1.279
Texaco have a good reward scheme and prices are only 2p more than asda.
Each point is worth 1p
100 points free for registration
75 points free for adding bit info.
100 points free for filling up 3 times in 40 days
I’ve had a lot off offers between the 10 fill up’s 8p off a litre and 5p off a litre and a free costa so isn’t all that bad

I think it's an ok app, worth having on the phone just incase you need to fill up some time
I have found Shell loyalty cards the worst of all (of the ones promising some reward). They regularly shift to a new scheme wiping the points you have and not carrying any over. You can use the new Shell scheme with a physical card which stops them sucking data of your phone. As for this £2 reward - first time I used the card I was promised a reward - did not get it and complained. They simply recorded one visit on the card but no £2. Seemed to promised for each visit for first use of the card but nothing on two subsequent visits. My advice is go to Esso and collect Tesco clubcard points.

Esso are switching over to nectar unfortunately
Shell is the only place i'll fill up, never had a single issue with rewards/money off.

What you on about. Been using shell since 2005. They've only just changed the drivers club after 14 years. Lol

Go and buy cheap fuel elsewhere. Happy paying £1.40-1.50 a litre of v power

I spent £500 on fuel last month, they gave me £1.50 as my reward
Do you have to delete the app and download again to get the £2 credit if you've used it before?
38628952-bPk6i.jpgI have saved a bomb using this app. The last money off I had on the app was £6.60 so its certainly worth doing if you use Shell anyway

I think just sign out and create a new account
I work at shell, you get free products all the time it depends what you spend to what you rewards are, every 10 visits is a reward of fuel, £10 min spend, £2 in store, 10% off deli2go products, costa coffee, shell oils. Plus there are always deals for other stuff, I had one 10p a litre off for buying a bottle of coke pack of crisps and a hanging bag of sweets so cost about £5 to get 10p litre off far better then £50 in tesco

They never wiped any points they sent all remaining points in voucher so unless you never registered you lost nothing, the change was advertised months before and staff were given an iPad to check that cards were registered and advised when they were not, this is a fact I work there and it was a nightmare swiping everyone's cards then checking them on a ipad and the remaining points were handed out because I get vouchers daily of silly prices like £1.09 etc

You seem confused...
If it's going in a naturally aspirated city runabout I'll put any old swill in it. Won't matter a jot for performance or economy.

If it's going in something slightly performance or nice then Shell V power works a charm. Especially on modern performance turbo engines which love it because it resists detonation so much better the computer can go more extreme on ignition timing.
I'm a lorry driver and we use Shell, and i'm getting decent rewards, but then again im putting in about £3k a month of diesel in

My bugbear is you can't use multiple rewards at the same time. I once had to put £10 in my car 4 times at the same garage on a single visit, just so I could use the money off fuel rewards I had built up. It's a real PITA, when it allows you to click to use multiple rewards at once yet won't actually allow you to do it at the till.
Love loyalty award scheme as have saved money on fuel, received sweets, chocolates and hot drinks etcsince joined.

None of the fuel rewards are any good nowadays. I'm using shell as need Vpower 99ron and I get a few offers between the 10 fill ups so can't complain.
But it's load more expensive

My car tends to run slightly better on Shell fuel, (whether it’s standard 95 or V-Power), so I have been using their loyalty cards for a long time. The Driver’s club has come to an end; wasn’t that good anyway - had to spend a fortune on fuel to get something like a £2 fuel voucher every 3 months.

Changed over to the new reward scheme earlier this year and it was great at first with free £2 off fuel voucher, free regular Costa drink, 10% off car washes/Costa in store etc. But now it seems you have to make 10 visits to get a new reward.

Also I was advised to download the new Shell Go+ app, as the old one was ceasing to be used, and I’d get another free £2 fuel coupon.
I did so and there was no sign of the coupon in the new app sadly so perhaps it was for new customers only.
I've had free drinks, sweets and probably £10 worth of free fuel. You ain't going to get rich from it but if your spending anyway makes a lot of sense.
I think they realise the take up Shell Go is failing hence why these more aggressive money off vouchers. When I personally saw you need 10 fill ups to get money off I ditched their reward scheme.
I’m with Shell Energy for my gas/electric which gives 3% off fuel. Not much, but it brings the price down to the same as the supermarkets .

Shell do randomly give freebies out without the need to collect points.
I’ve had free costa, Waitrose cookies, wine gums, snickers.
there are also deals for when you spend , such as free costa when you buy 3x costas .

if shell is your local convenient garage, Then it’s worth using the app.
