Good luck with that, they're a useless shambles, the sooner I'm out of my 18 month contract and away from them the better.

Did people get the Amazon voucher OK? I've sent them a chase up email today, something like 130 days after order date..

    Edit: voucher received. (edited)

Nope, I've had to chase, they kept pointing me to the FAQs then I had to point out they didn't answer my query, supplied them with all my details and they checking it out...

Good deal, but consider the TCB a bonus if you get it. Recently I've found them to be less reliable on larger payouts like this.

Agreed. I've almost given up on them.

Will they double the price in 6 months like they did with petrol?

Once they get a windfall tax I might consider. I have also boycotted their fuel pumps as they are by far the most expensive

Unlike many providers, they don't seem to guarantee a minimum download speed.

They have to honour the declared speed it's now the law

Ofcom’s Broadband Speeds Code of Practice means you should get clear information about speeds when you buy a broadband service.

If your service doesn’t deliver the speeds you were promised by your provider, get in touch with them. If the problem is on their network and they can’t fix it within 30 days, they must let you leave your contract without having to pay an early exit fee.

Can you set a forward date on this? My Dad’s broadband contract runs out on the 11th November, would be handy if I could set this up for him a couple of days before then.

Get a £110 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card when you purchase Shell Energy's Superfast Fibre Plus Broadband, offer valid until midnight on 09/10/2022.
My BB is also due on the 11th Nov and was wondering the same - shame.

I did not initially receive the Amazon Voucher and emailed customerservices@broadbandchoices.co.uk (mentioned above in this thread) who asked me for details such as
    • Date of purchase
    • Order reference number/Account number
    • Product/Package
    • Email address used to sign up for the voucher
Most of the details are on confirmation email.

Once I sent that information then after around a week or so. I had the voucher dropped in my inbox. (edited)

    To provide a little balance…

At my house and my father’s house we have had many different fibre broadband providers over the years, BT, Shell, Talktalk, Vodafone, EE and others. Never had any problems with any of them.

Of course now that I’ve posted this - guaranteed I’m in for a barrel of hurt lol.

I found them difficult to get hold of when you need them. They tend to increase the cost during the contract period too. This is a good price but I'll be moving elsewhere once my contract is up.

I did a quote out of interest (my BB deal not due to renew until January).
For some reason, I get this message: "Unfortunately your telephone line cannot support the product you have selected"
It then goes on to offer me an array of "full fibre" deals at much higher price. I already have ultrafast fibre, so what is the difference with this particular "superfast fibre" that my line doesn't support, but is fine for other providers to support?

I tried to order this for my mother, I cannot get past the phone number bit, which it says does not match the house. She has only lived there for 46 years and had the same number, so I guess it must take a bit longer to pull her data through.

I'm with them now - speed is awful - I switched from NOWtv broadband and was getting 50mb now I'm lucky to get 10-15 and it drops out regularly. They just say that I'm getting less than they would expect and blame my router location etc

But She'll Broadband are awful! Preferred to finish my contract much earlier than the 2 years, rather than staying with them.

Moved to shell recently, speeds are slightly better than last ISP, but will be changing the router or wi-fi hub, as all my smart gear keeps disconnecting and reconnecting from wi-fi, driving me mad...

What's the deal with them not being able to transfer the number, other providers have sent emails in the past saying they cant transfer the number here is your new number, but its the old one anyway, is this the same kind of deal?

I've not got Shell yet, but from looking at prior deal threads and elsewhere some people have said their vodafone and plusnet routers just worked. I don't think sky/nowtv routers will work, but someone may correct me.
If buying something else, tplink archer vr400 models and upwards seem to be good options and reasonable prices, both new and used on ebay etc.

At that price, I've given it a shot.

Planning to use their naff router just as a modem. Hopefully, the Eero mesh routers I've just bought will work as advertised and do the heavy lifting. (the kids really do love it now I can tell Alexa to pause wifi to the PS4 ).

In case anybody still wants this deal

I've just signed up on money supermarket via Quidco for £20 plus the £110 amazon voucher plus £60 from Lloyds everyday offers for using DD when joining Shell Broadband + free broadband till Jan 1st

Which if all goes to plan makes my average monthly payement over 18 months about £10.75 give or take a few pence (edited)

I don't think Lloyds will work as I have Lloyds bank and it says that 2 x direct debits need to be taken before the end of Dec. But Shell broadband is giving it free until 2023???
