For everyone asking if this suits their car... Stop, just check the cars handbook. API SN is the newest rating (from 2010 onwards). It can be used in older vehicles IF the rest of the spec's match your handbook.
People obsessing about which version they need for which car is nonsense. The difference between the letters are for things like low Ash qualities. In reality, they make no difference whatsoever. The most important thing is to make sure you get the right viscosity for your car and service schedule, and make sure the brand you're buying is suitable for the demands of your vehicle. Any suitable viscosity fully synthetic Shell Helix will meet or exceed virtually any road car manufacturers specification, even high performance vehicles, so worrying if this will be suitable for a Ford Focus is a non-issue.

No, it's recommended for GM cars, for Fords you need the AF version HERE which is £20.91 for 5 lires which is still a very good price.
I can never figure out why the 'Ford' version is always more expensive than the 'GM' version

Different label, same oil that meets all specs...I use it in Ford and Toyota's... it's labeling for dummies lol.

Halfords do this as well lol...go to Halfords and find me a 5w-30 oil that says only for Toyota, there isn't one so does that mean I can't change my oil? Lol

Good oil though....I have used that and would use it again no worries ,I change at 5000-6000 miles if not less and ignore the silly miles in the handbook nonsense lol...semi is fine especially in older cars.

Agreed. So many people in modern society are either ignorant or just too plain lazy to even read a handbook

So there is no difference in base stock, shear strength, zinc content etc. It just needs to be the correct grade?
Is it suitable for a silver car? And better than Castrol? as I couldn't see a thing through the windscreen with that, pretty dangerous tbh
Basically Carparts4Less/Euro car parts, prices usually around this price on thier websites with various 'sale' promotions they run every day.

Exactly. It’s 2019 and there’s Google if no handbook is available.
Please stop expecting / asking other people to do the hard work for you.

I checked euro car parts and this one is currently 67 pounds - 45% code on ecp, however it is only 24.72 - 20% code on Carparts4Less. Still cheaper here but only a few quid really, I do wonder how come it is so much dearer on euro car parts website if they are the same company? How does that make any sense?
Always wondered if this oil was good its always been cheap, I know it's not true fully syn wonder if it would still do a good job on a turbo car hmmm

This would be fine.

Ford & Mazda engines call for A5/B5 oil.

The rest ALL use A3/B4 oil, for which this would be fine;

Honda / Renault / Audi / VW / Mercedes / Seat / Skoda / Mitsubishi / Citroen / Peugeot / Kia / Hyundai / Porsche (if you have one) / Rover (if it's still in one piece) / BMW / Vauxhall / etc / etc........

The specs for this AG oil match the specs for more expensive VW/AUDI/VAG Shell oil - 507.00 (or Porsche c30 spec).

I would be happy using this in most modern engines that require a ACEA a3/b3/b4 oil.

The exception are most Ford engines and Mazda engines that call for a5/b5 oil. For those you need the Shell Helix AF oil.
