What account will it be applied to? If it's not your bank account what can you spend the £90 on?
So 90£ you get back to your banking account or just to broadband account which means it will automatically reduce the monthly price?

They will credit your broadband account with the 90. And probably take the first few payments from the credit.
Anyone had any dealings with the company? Connection good? Customer service ect?...

I really don't have the time to write on here why they have been shocking for me. Service wise stable, billing wise and other bits.. Well crap

Crap then!

Among all the broadband providers who use BT line Plusnet is considered the best provider. They don't give any offer though. Those who are offering cashbacks or reduced prices do not have good reviews. Talk talk, last week, were giving 63mb broadband for average £16pm, but the reviews were poor.
Been with them nearly 5 months now. No issues with BB at all. Router is the usual garbage you get for free, but works ok.
When I joined it was £50 and a free Google Nest mini.
The nest Mini arrived withing about 3 weeks (even though MSE said I would have to claim it). I haven't had my £50 bill credit yet. I sent them an email and they are looking into it.
The website is pretty useless too.

If you use Shell petrol stations there are some bonuses as well (but I don't).

If I get my £50 I'll be happy. But overall it's been ok so far.

My connection has been solid over the last five months, modem they supply is very basic but can easily be upgraded.

Customer service staff can be a bit slow, but it is the same with BT/Plusnet/EE/Vodafone etc.

Had no problems with my bills, credit was applied in month 2 and reduces the bill for a few months.

I would be happy to recommend to my family/friends
£60 line installation fee though

I can't comment on their bb but when i moved into my house, it was on shell energy for gas and electricity, their CS is shocking, and looking at their reviews, a lot of their customers hate them. I suggest you check their reviews via several review websites before you join.

Only if you don't have a live Openreach line, apparently.
What’s the best broadband for anytime calls as My now broadband £18 will end soon thank you
Poor customer service, have no knowledge.
I asked for kids safe option, to block adult content but were unable as don’t provide this option.
Long time lurker, had to comment on this.

My personal experience with Shell Energy Broadband was horrendous. If you try and leave, they will charge you £15 cease fee, if you don't return your router, the will charge you £35. They didn't even send me one in the first place as I used my own.

Look at the reviews on Trust Pilot before doing anything with them.
Been with Shell for six months now, no problems at all, the modem supplied signal to reach all rooms in our Three bedroom bungalow, which the Virgin one did not and unlike Virgin the bills are stable and do not fluctuate.
Cannot comment on customer service as have not needed it.
I compared deals on MSE. The talktalk 67MB/s broadband was only a £1 per month more expensive (After voucher claim) - so went for that - Almost double the speed for £1 more per month was a no brainer. Talktalk also are part of Ofcom's automatic compensation scheme as well as were offering a 30 day trial guarantee
Sister is with these lot. Stones throw from the exchange and speeds are woeful. I do wonder why Sky can do BB speeds of 18+ MBPS and Shell appear to be unable to maintain 9MBPS at best?
I signed up to the last deal before xmas on MSE for Shell & i had to chase them for the cashback to be applied to my account, the day i tried phoning them their lines were down, so i filed a complaint using Resolver & got a quick response, their speeds are fine & no worse than Vodafone who i was with previously, they're a reseller for Talk Talk

I also need to chase up my cashback, only went with them because of the cashback offer and no news as yet.
Speeds are good, much better than Plusnet so far for me.

But it comes down to what quality and capacity their servers are at no? if they oversell and dont have enough capacity. Your post implys differences are only down to router, but talk talk have their servers in the exchange and are not using bts, then shell rent space from talk talk and so the differences can be that the servers and capacity are inferior to bts.
Interesting reads on this posting.Whilst i would never think of joining Shell fibre i have until 6th April to find another provider as my promotion deal with Virgin expires and its jumping from £25 to £52.Which i find incredible that it can go up so much at once,i had huge problems in the first 3 months and eventually they came out and pulled a new line through which changed everything for the better. They must of surely still made money from me in the year ive been with them, but now they want to scare me off by raising the price more than double.
Will you actually get 35 mb or is it up to?

I signed up to sky a few years ago. They said it was 60mb but I only ended up getting 18mb. I binned in a few weeks later.

Same happened with Plusnet.

You only truly get what's advertised with Virgin.
