SHELL Helix Ultra Professional AF 5W30 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil 5 Litre … SHELL Helix Ultra Professional AF 5W30 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil 5 Litre £16.99 eurocarparts

I probably wouldn't need the Professional oil. How much cheaper is the Amateur oil?
Just ordered cheers
That's seriously cheap for a branded fully synthetic.

Even Opieoils (who are normally very cheap) are charging £41.95 for this size. It's difficult to understand why people are voting this cold.
I cannot understand why this is so cold ? Its quite crude if you ask me
without checking this is cheaper than ebay bulk buying barrel

Goto the site and on the left type in your reg or car details and it tells you what oils you can use Merry Christmas

Fully!
I cannot believe how cheap this is! I use this in my VXR and it's great. Very high quality. I paid £25 for mine a few months ago. Does anyone know how long this will last for if kept sealed? I'm guessing years? Tempted to buy it now for my service next September!

No it is fully synthetic (as far any other claiming to be fully synthetic).

This is from the old range. Its also Ford specific.
The standard (new) gas derived one is is £2 more.

If you go to euro site and expand the picture it clearly states that its fully synthetic, however it also states its 4 litres not 5.

That's a completely different oil. The oil you have posted is 913 A & B which is the Ford Spec for semi. C & D are Fully. It is also A1/B1 which are the specs for older petrol/ diesel.

Yes sealed oil doesn't go off, but probably best to use it within 3 years. Make sure you get the correct one. Guessing you want the GM (AG) variant.

Hmmm interesting. I just checked the one I ordered a few months ago and it's different to this. It's the AG one here for £2 more, rather than this AF one.

Worth sticking your car reg in to double check it's the right oil for your car people.

It's definitely semi going by the specs. Not having a dig at the post, but concerned that people could put the wrong oil in their cars. Fully in Ford would be C or D.

Yes it seems Eurocarparts have the wrong description listed. You are correct in what you are saying (sort of). Technically fully synthetic would massively surpass A1, B1 and API SJ, but you could label it as surpassing those. Not that anybody ever would.

Shell's Helix ultra range has always been fully synthetic (entire range). Just the new ones are gas derived rather than crude derived. The easy way to tell the new ones is look for "Shell PurePlus Technology" on the front rather than "active cleansing technology"
Be obtainable at this price from Euro on and off for a long time now, last one was the Black Friday thingy when I stocked up.

HX7 is semi... Helix Ultra Professional is fully synthetic, so don't talk b......t mate. I used to buy this oil for 2 of my cars at them. Eurocarparts are probably not the best with proper description. Better look at oil manufacture's website for right oil for your car...

How am I talking ****? The specs given are definitely semi. It's Euro that are wrong with both sets of spec. The current Ford spec is D and it should be A5/B5. By the way this is really for Fords as it has the opposite film strength that most cars require.
so considering the dispute on here on whether this is fully synthetic oil or not, if this is actually fully synthetic could this be a price error?

On the face of it, this is a good deal but only if this oil is 100% fully synthetic!
lol,, this old chestnut again !! pops up every 6 months or so, either from Eurocarparts or carparts4less , ( same company) !!

All I will say is , check what your actually buying here

OK, the specs are wrong, but the description is of fully synthetic oil. So if the wrong one comes it can be sent back.
