1 - Not a deal
2 -This game is going to massively disappoint.

Surely the incorrect link? The Kickstarter ended ages ago. There is a slacker backer page but the $29 tier does not mention the PC version: https://shenmue.link/order/

1. It is kind of a deal...it won't be that cheap when released.
2. I agree!

oh right ok. well I didnt see any other page sorry. seen this and assumed it was the right one to back it

The Kickstarter campaign has been over for a year now, it was launched at last years Sony E3 conference, and was very successful. It met it's target in under an hour. If you still want to pre-order you can still do so, on the shenmue website. They don't have the PC version there though.

The game has been funded already and will be coming out, you don't need to pledge to help get the game completed as it has been funded via Kickstarter and other means like Sony themselves who have bought the exclusive right to publish. Something that got the project some negative press as many felt the Kickstarter was just a way for Sony and YS to hype the game, and secure funding.

Thank goodness. While not a backer, this repost had me fearing that the game was in jeopardy.

Love Shenmue, but pay to play later is a scam.

Unless you have the creators of the originals on board what's the point.

You do in this game.

I'm very excited and so are others, hence is the highest earning game on kickstarter ever!

Darn. I got my hopes up thinking this post was "Shenmue 1-2 HD Remaster on Pre-Order" but it's the Kickstarter of Shenmue 3.

I've said to myself that I'll never support a Kickstarter and never will. If it's released and good then I might purchase otherwise, I won't.

Ooo I didn't see that on the kick starter page, so I will be keeping an eye on this.

SEGA are looking into getting Shenmue I & II updated and upgraded, it's just a case of obtaining all the copyrights for all the third party stuff that was in the game i.e. the Saiko watch and Coca Cola vending machines (which were changed to Jet Cola in the West)

I voted hot on this, because it's still cheaper than a release copy. The risk of it whether disappointing is no different from any other game that is released. The better this fares, the greater likelihood of SEGA taking a remaster more seriously.
